Mate, it's all about how you play.
It has been said (by me) the Ranger is a lifestyle, not a profession. It's up to you to enjoy the profession. If what you want is uberness, you really don't need to be a Ranger. I'm sure you're just frustrasted and probably will stay a Ranger, but there's no sense complaining at this point. Do what I do: enjoy what we do have rather than focus on what we don't.

Yes...we are the professors of the wilderness. Content to sit in a camp and make notes on the meandering wildlife, chatting with friends and dreaming. So, I have to ask, why are you still a Ranger?

Eh, you can say Ranger is a spiritual profession as much as you want. But at the end of the day, we still don't have many useful skills of our own. And we never have.
Although I love being a Ranger, I'm still very unhappy that our profession has been sitting in the corner(with SL's..) for well over a year, with any kind of revamp months away. We should be master's of the wilderness, but the wilderness is pretty limited. Anything interesting is on a datapad or accesible through the forums, many classes can badly outperform us in PVE combat. It hurts to say - but Ranger's are pretty useless. If I wasn't so attached to the title and lifestyle, I'd give my points up and perform just as well as a Scout.

Master Pistoleer, 0040 BH.
Im still a Ranger because I have this hope of playing Rangers as what they should be, masters of the outdoors.
Most people on this board are that, but not cause of skill points.

I meant MBH/Master Pistoleer.
Like I said, its frustrating that we arent given the chance to do what we should be doing, that Rangers exist, but not because of skillpoints.

Rangers are the greatest profession that requires 0 skill points.
Camps are nigh useless to anyone with novice medic. Our best traps come from the scout line, Mask scent is arguably better than camo, very few people ever crawl, and area track has limited uses.
We hear people on this forum brag about being able solo NSers and Rancors unbuffed. Great! That takes a lot of personal skill and tactics! Few of which come from ranger. You can do that unbuffed, unarmored, as a Master Rifleman/Ranger, but you could do it just as well as a Rifleman/Squadleader
Rangers are Masters of Wilderness.
The average planet in SWG is 15 kilomters long. with cities ever 5k (except for the no build planets)
There is very little for us to explore, very little for us to find. We had the tons and tons of POIs, but 90% of them now are on the datapads, and even give you a waypoint to their location.
/sigh
I cant be the *only* one frustrated with this, can I?

I think you have to be Master Bounty hunter, Master Commando, or Master Ranger to wear Madalorian Armor.
That means you won't be one of the typical jokers running around (ie master pistoleer/fencer) (with warts sticking out of your head).

Really? I was under the impression that it was MBH only...
Master Ranger, Master Bounty Hunter, Master Commando, Master Squad Leader are the four professions that are certified to wear Mando.
