Thread: I am enjoying the wilderness tree
I was dreading doing the survival tree after hearing the complaints about how long it took.
Before I started survival I was majorly stressed out thinking about how much money I was missing out on by not harvesting the latest herb spawn non-stop, how I had been spending too much money, and all of my other in game obligations to the guild.
As I was sitting there in camp, I began pondering all my real life obligations as well. I started realizing how my crazy grinding frenzy in the game was partially a way to block out dealing with real life issues. After sitting in the camp, enjoying the relaxation of the great outdoors, problems that had been plaging me and had been put off in the back of my mind for so long, suddenly all had solutions that were very easy.
Here I was sitting in a tent in a game, next to a lake, just relaxing and fishing and letting all my troubles go to the wayside. During this time I realized that nothing in the world mattered except this tent and that pond and these fish and my friend. I had been so stressed about spending too much in game money that day, yet I still had 2 million in my account and needed nothing in the world except bone, hide, a little metal a pond and my pole. I suddely felt very rich and very at ease.
I know now that when the world get turned up on edge and there seems like there is no way out, I can just run off to my retreat out by the lake, make a camp, and my troubles will all melt away.

I decided to stop the FS grind to become a ranger, and Im having a much more enjoyable gaming experience.
I wasn't a Ranger before starting the FS Grind. I took up Ranger as a way to have some fun in the game. Then I realized I don't want to grind.
I want my game time to be fun, and not seem like another job.
I have 2+ Tree's done in FS, but am thinking of giving them up to recover the SP and go back to having some Medic abilities.
That or read my post, pay my bills, write some emails and browse through the newspapers.
Funny old way to get XP, eh?
