I think it was probably in reference to the yet again enhanced Krayt population. There are certainly MANY other things that a Ranger can do that aren't tracking a Krayt. So I wouldn't worry too much. Take a week off, go camping on Endor and explore the planet a little. Make friends with an ewok (then kill him anyway). Find out just what IS at -3448, 2898 (I don't know what it is, other than a WP I just made up.) Basically - play Ranger.

Yeah thats all Rangers are good for is tracking Krayts. We do nothing else in this game. ITS THE END OF RANGER AS WE KNOW IT!!!!

Well its the end of a lot of people who have dabbled into tracking 2 or 3 to track them at least

Dang muppets... Yup, they were probably talking about the fact that, with the new increased spawn rates of krayt they are (on TC's at least) almost as numerous as gorgs up by the graveyard and in a couple of other locations. (Same old ones for thos in the know, for those not in the know GO ASK A RANGER!).

There are also a lot more in the way of wild spawns but we've still to see how that holds up under a full server load, running 24/7 for aweek or so or "in Live".

So, there's plenty out there to shoot and kill and loot and steal. whoop de doo.

End of Ranger? I think not.

In planet chat I watched a brilliant conversation which went like:

A: Well, I took Master Ranger and then a bit of TK and a bit of Rifles and a bit of Swords and got me some sliced obberdijooby guns and a flippityfop hammer. Some d00d was selling sliced compo for just 1 mil per section so I got a suit of that.

B: cool, you're the dood, etc etc etc. (you cn fill in here for the usual)

A: anyhow I tried finding a peko albatross and couldn't. wheres theres spawn ground.

B: dunno what planet they on?

C: I think endor

Me: Try Naboo, just NW of Theed, work along the coast and then down the edge of the map.

A: Near theed? Thats BS they never go in cities...



All that and

X: "Where's the £$&^("ing pirot? I've looked all over Tatoonie and still cant find him"

Y: Get a ranger who knows how to used tracking.

X: How does it work?

Y: Dunno. It says I've not got the skills to use the droids...



Aw bless, you've got to admire these folk... even being able to find their butts in the morning to get dressed must be a challenge. It's, well, kind of sweet.

And one day, all jedi will be made this way

I am a bit mystified by this post as I am wondering how you think Publish 13 = end of Rangers?

I ask because I am wondering what single thing it si in the Publish that you think will cause you to be uneeded. I mean if I read this right, its something to do with Krayt Dragons being around more. Is that all you do is track Krayt Dragons? Correct me if I am wrong but that seems limited in scope.

Again I am mystified as I still see plenty of things to do as a Master Ranger, chasing giant lizards only being a small part of it.
