Well after some testing it seems there is a bug when you leave the camp it says you have entered it instead. So when you leave it counts as a body entering. Doing this repetedly will fill your camp up with 20 or so bodies in about 2 min or less. At the 4 and a half min mark you get full xp all alone. Ocasionally it will say you have left your camp and subtract from your count but this only happens about 1/20 of the time. The other part is. mounts no longer coun t as a person in the camp. Haven't tried a droid yet though. Bikes don't count either. I'm about to get my next lvl camp and will report back after I test that one.

Well, while apparently the server is loading right now which is a load. 1 thing did come to mind. If you enter combat while your camp is up and the camp disbands you still get your xp for the amount of time you and your party are in the camp. More to come soon I hope.

That's why I started this up. Being Frontiersman is my favourite part of being Ranger.

Speaking of camping, has anyone noticed any temporary graphics glitches when the camp goes up? In other words, the flattened terrain or camp border appears as either:

1) invisible, as in, I can see through the earth to the opposite horizon
2) appears as water
3) appears as a solid color polygon

Also, I get a strobe light affect from the camp torches at certain camera angles.

This seems to go away as soon as I take a step or two, or spend a couple of seconds moving my camera around.. But so far, it seems to happen every time I lay down a camp.

Nothing huge, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I bugged it as well since I don't think it's a problem with my settings or system -- My wife has a different system, and she sees it on her computer for the first few seconds when I set up a camp also.

The ground disapperaing or looking like wateris known and as far as I can recall only happens on TC right now. The strobe effect hapens in live from certain angles and is quite annoying but not game breaking. It does bother me when I'm trying to get the right angle for a good screenie though.

K, now that the server is back up I started my test again. Something was fixed. Before you would leave the camp maybe 1 out of 20 times. Now it is 18 out of 20 times. i'm going to pop a couple more and see what's up.

I'll have to test this. Repeatedly.

And I have noticed the weird terrain/water thing but didn't think to bug it. I'll do that tonight too.

The "ground disappearing, or looking like water" happens to me, on Live, with almost every camp I pitch.

From Live: The hole in the world bug is working there too, also appears as lairs/bases are destroyed. Sorts out as soon as camera is moved.

From the 'old' TC: Leaving camp as you enter, or entering as you leave was on TC-Prime before the server went down. It was /bugged and added to the then TC forum bug threads.

Didn't notice the messages being bassackwards on Live tonight, so taht one's all yours

Ya ground is a texture, being client side that will very with tons of factors. All that kinda stuff seems to happen a lot on TC. Walking into NPC buildings mucks me up a lot.

Pets have never counted as bodies in my camps. Leaving and comin back has always added to the visitors but not to the current occupants, are you saying it currently is adding to occupants now in TC? The graphics glitch started for me when the dumbed down the texture quality on live.

I haven't noticed on TC5 or TCep3, but previously having a animal mount (and I assume a regular pet) or vehicles and droids in your camp would count as a "current visitor" in your camp... Maybe CH pets didn't count, but I know pet mounts and vehicles definitely did.

As for the graphics glitch, I didn't notice when they lowered the texture quality, but I'm wondering if the the patch that increased the viewing distance caused it? That's the only time I started to see the terrain problems when the ground is flattened.

I do agree though, it's not high on the list of priorities, especially since it disappears after a couple of seconds. A little annoying and still a bug, but nothing major.
