I'm voting Bounty Hunter. Since it only requires one skill line in marksman you can keep your Novice Medic/CH/FS skills if you like.

I was actually thinking Ranger/SL. I won't be uber powerful, but I'm thinking about roleplaying a Rebel commander. Not a frontline guy, but able to hold my own to a certain degree, and most effective in a group.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Appreciate any opinions

I was a Master TK for a long time and at least pre-cu you didn't need armour or doc buffs to hunt.

Post CU, I will be MR and either MBH and novice CH orBH 0/0/4/4 and at least CH 0/0/0/3 but maybe more CH, it would be nice to havea pet with decent energy resists toassist mein killing stormies.

Rifleman.

The ability to drop of the radar and the visual effect of /cover is one of the top requests we've made.

Rifleman is hugely popular amongst Rangers as it is. Post-CU it will be even more popular... amongst those that stay Ranger

I'm still planning on having a Ranger character, just on an alt server, and he'll go Rifleman for sure.

Sticking with Master Ranger/Master Rifleman. Gonna drop a couple of poins from FS so I can have the bare four left over. Since I know I will never be a jedi or prolly play alot longer I think thats best.

I do not know yet. That will have to wait until the blue frogs give out skill mastery, because that is the only way I will ever reach the elite profs on TC.
However, I will properly either start rifleman, or switch to carbineer. The low defence and crowd control in rifleman might make it to week on its own, so switching to carbine would be a good compromise.

Playing with the CU Skill builder I came up with the following template. With the new lower costs to some of the elite profs, I am considering the following. I know its not technically ranger, but it is Scout Hunting 4, and my favorite part of ranger is as a hunter.

Master Carbs, Master BH, 1/2 of CH, 1/2 of Combat Medic.

I think that makes a pretty powerfull combo while retaining the hunting role that I like about ranger. I'd like to stay a ranger, but the higher skill point costs may be put to better use elsewhere.

Assuming no changes to Ranger or Scout, so far I'm leaning towards some Ranger to augment my Rifle(wo)man...

Marksman 4/0/0/4

Master Rifle(wo)man

Master Scout

Ranger 4/0/4/0

Novice Squad Leader (cheap way of getting generic skill mods without )

... which leaves me 27 points. Maxing out on FS skills (Ranged speed/accuracy, Enhanced Reflexes Master) leaves3 orphan points, but I like the look of the character with that skillset, so the points wouldn't bother me. I just don't see pursuing Master Ranger as it's currently designed (I know, sacrilege...).

I'm really hoping they find a way to have stealth, camo and mask scent stack with /cover, so I can use this mix to be a pure sniper.
