Thread: Creature harvest amounts question...
Hey, it's the Jedi that's always welcome here. Let's see, I'll do my best to answer your questions.
How much can we harvest? Lots. There are certain variables, but if I'm using veghash, and grouped with a fellow master, I can usually get 1100-1200 units off a cl 80+ creature. If the creature is fat and healthy, that is. Since it's hard to meet all those requirements (well, I guess only one of them is beyond your control), I'd say average harvest is around 900-1k units.
I don't think harvesting attachments work yet, but I could be wrong there.
Veghash is da bomb.
Not sure with the last part. I'm not really a number cruncher. My professional guess would be 'quite a bit.'
Really, though, even without attachments, it's ridiculously easy to rake in vast amounts of organics now. I typically only hunt with other Rangers, and our group bonus + veghash has us pulling in crazy amounts of hide/meat/bone. Pre-CU, one or two 100k stacks of a given resource was fairly uncommon. Now, a Master Ranger can grab 500k units or more during a shift without really trying.

yeah, the biggest "secret" in the Ranger arsenal is to hunt with other Master Rangers. It's a 40% boost to both of them, meaning that you'll pull in a lot, especially with Veghash and the +25 attachement(if and when they fix them). If you want to be the uber hunter, grab the FS boxes and get an extra +5 there, too. You'll consistantly pull well over 1000 on veghash.
In a single 3 hour hunt, 2 master Rangers and a novice Ranger were able to harvest something like 600k of a particular resource-- it's that amazingly fast now. If you need someone on Eclipse to hunt with, join the RIN (Rangers Information Network) chat channel and say hi. Phe'nix and S'phynx are my toons, and there are other helpful people out there who love nothing more than to brutally slay all manners of dangerous creatures.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely be in touch. I've been helping some lower level Jedi and non-Jedi grind since the CU basically (by performing my goodie tank skills!), and I got to thinking last night while my wife was grinding my new Ranger alt for me: I wonder how quickly we could amass organics if I was tanking and slaugthering, while I had other Rangers slaughtering with me? I mean, I go through at least 40+ creatures per lair in a ten minute span now tops. So if you're talking at least 40k units per lair and we could do 6 lairs in an hour. Well hot darn! Now we're cooking!
