Thread: Last Count 21 BUGS In Ranger Profession- WE WIN !!!!
Message Edited by Starson on 08-11-2005 01:42 PM
I have never seen a Ranger trainer other than the game placed NPCs.
And lately, I haven't been training anyone.

I saw a player-placed Ranger Trainer the other night and I was shocked. I almost told everyone in Guild Chat, but I stopped myself by realizing that no one else would care or think it was unusual.

I know it's always said that. However, this is a bug. I.E. It is not intentional, although I think ignoring it and our other issues were intentional.

Yeah its always said that Bio. Not sure if it will ever be fixed too as its prety minor compared to our other bugs.
Exactly. They had award ceremonys on Starssider server last night. For bestAS, WS, etc.
My friends told me I should win as the "ONLY Ranger"

There is something to be said about any master of any profession where you can count on two hands how many there are on a single server with 1000's or players. I am proud to be one fingers worth of a ranger.
The problem is that we require an amount of coding greater than "combat" and "healing" professions and crafting professions.
We craft.
We rely on NPC / Creature AI.
We rely on stability of world / object information loading speed and completeness.
We have harvesting which affects the economy.
We had one exploitable ability.
Just thought a blast from the past would be fun...... "The Top 5 Ranger Bugs", as reported in a post on December 19th, 2003
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The original list is:
Top 5 Report (Oct 27)
The Responses
1. Camps Not Repelling Aggressive Creatures
2. Areatrack bugs
4. Traps bugs
- These problems will be looked into and fixed up as soon as possible.
3. Conceal and Humanoid NPCs
The developers have deemed our profession to be the Ultimate Creature Hunters.
But with that, hard choices must be made to follow the path of that vision...
- One of those choices was that /conceal command was never intended to work against humanoid NPCs, and when it did work was the true error.
But do not take this as a loss, but rather a gain...
- With this vision to follow we can finally focus our efforts and push for greater Creature Combat potential for our profession!
We have been shown the path Rangers, do we have the courage to follow?
- I hope we do... No, wait... IKNOW we do.
5./forage bug
- The developers are aware that this command needs some major work, and will look into fixing it up.
[Edit: Because nothing ever pastes right the first time ]
