Looks like creature stuff there is updated very rarely. Is there an alternative that's better?

Best thing to do? Get on there and update it
If we end up with multiple sites, all being updated at different times and with varying degrees of accuracy... well, you can see where that'll end up...

Yeah, it's pretty much the scouts/rangers responsibility to update those stats since no one else can get that info..
If you're just one who buys resources (and has no scout skills), it might be a good idea to mention it on your galaxy forums and try to get some scouts to start updating what they can. It not only benefits resource buyers, but the people hunting them as well.
I used to do it pretty often on Kauri when I was a ranger. It's actually real easy to do..
I can't think of any website being able to do it more efficiently than that.
You can literally update every possible resource at one time.
There are instructions for doing that on swgcraft.com It follows this format -- with avian meat used here as an example:
name, type, stats (in the order listed under /examine)
Or, specifically:
swgcraft_start
nireson,dath carn meat,977,785,469,739
swgcraft_end
you can shorten the resource type a bit (dat for dathomir, dan for dantooine... an for animal, av for avian)
I found it fun and a good part of being a ranger.. Being on top of the resource shifts and being more knowledgeable about resources than your buyer seems very rangery... err.. rangerly.. rangerish?

- Just use your /notepad.
- Type in the info,
- copy the text of all the resources you want to update (bind a "copy text" key),
and then alt-tab and go to swgcraft.com -- then just Ctrl-V/paste it into the required box.

I can.
There are a few dedicated people, usually who do what's within their chosen profession and a few who dabble (like me). Things like meat hides and milk aren't used as much as say flora and minerals so fewer are interested in updating it. Mucho Kudos to everyone who does help keep it up.
Even if all you get is a couple minutes once in a while, update something when you realize it's new (oreven if it's only 'gone' and you don't necessarily know the new)

EXACTLY what I was going to post. If it's not updated, then get to it! It's a player driven DB. What you could do is get a few scout/ranger friends together and each take on 1 planet. Or, use a 30k resource deed to make it go faster.
Ken' is right... multiple databases is a poor idea and only spreads the resources inputting data thinner.
