I would love to help...

The Antarian Rangers of Valcyn are not a PA (and have no plans to be one). This was done for two reasons: 1) many of our members are already part of a guild and 2) I believe that we could be a successful organization with many of the perks of being in a PA without the fuss of having the expense of being an official PA through good organization.

I'm currently sick and last night I saw Hugh Jackman (yes, THAT Hugh Jackman, Mr. "Wolverine" Logan himself) dance and sing as a flamboyant bisexual man on stage about 15 feet from me in REALLY tight pants, so I've been a little slow with the latest Ranger updates... but that will be remedied tonight. Tee hee hee.

I think there are a good number of rangers on every server. You can find them my posting here and on the specific galaxy's forum. Also, everytime I visit a new city, I search for the rangers in the area. If there are some on, I will approach them usually with a /tell saying congratulations on being a ranger and asking if they are interested in joining our organization.

Right now, we're an information distribution network. It's been wonderful -- rangers are supporting others with resource statistics culled from a number of different planets. We send out notifications of resource requests (dump them in such-and-such vendor for blah-blah cpu at la-di-da waypoint!). Stuff like that. In the future, I'd like to either sponsor hunts or other events (like, I want to actually throw a party or something when people reach Master Ranger). We'll see. Hehehe...

Well, to be honest I don't like PA's and never saw the overhead justified for a Ranger (I don't have a house for this reason, but actually considered getting one to collect all the "stuff" for kits). I don't know how they work, but I have seen some used as a HUGE merchent building and storage factility. I had considered haveing a place the merchents could go to and buy all this stuff they keep asking for. We could also have all the stuff for all the kits needed in one place as well.

However, if you can't share sales fairly and the load it too high (what is maintanence on a guild hall?) then there would be no point. I like the idea of an information network (I like it a LOT). Do you have webspace someplace for the Eclipse Rangers? I'll see if I can track them down, I do have a number of them on my friends list but alas, some have not logged on for some time...

I can tell you right now I have Jingo asking for about 10k more Herbivore, the quality in Corellia is fair (I think it's +900 other places tho, it's in the 800's here) and he has been buying that from me so far. I have 2 other emails asking for hides and bones (one specifically asked for Hi OQ and SR Wooley). The guild chat would be nice too, but hey, I guess I could just start a chat room anyway.

I'm soon master ranger and I like this initiative. I am already member of a PA atm. I have been thinking of getting out of it lately, since most of them play at other times than my platimes.

Either way, I would like to help, I usually hunt solo for the moment, with a few PAhunts.

Anyway, maybe an idea for AR of eclipse would be to start out with some hunts, and measure the interest/need for a PA that way?

I was thinking that a PA of Rangers might be needed to deal with this harvest shortage. I do not think the for one minute the resource restoration will be enough, sense all the CH and BH no longer need to harvest and it will be up to us to keep the artisans supplied. Therefore I wanted to ask if there is enough interest in forming a guild of Rangers or Scouts that are intending to be Rangers on Eclipse.

If there is already a Ranger PA I have not heard of it yet and that would be nice to know about. If not I'd like to get a head count and see if we have enough to start a AR chapter. If anyone has any ideas, please comment. I'd like to see if we can make working together more profitable then working alone. There was a pretty good setup already in 3 other servers and I wouldn't mind seeing this level of organization on Eclipse.

I was getting a little tired of waiting for my friends who seem to be "less casual" then me and didn't like those long trips I take . Funny that, they all have houses, I don't LOL. We can deal with where the hall would go and how this would all work out later, I'm just trying to find out if we have enough interest.
