Thread: Proof that the High Quality camp keeps aggroes at bay
I was on Endor with about6 of my PA mates doing 25K money missions. We had just taken a beating from destroyingan arachne lair and I set up a high quality camp for us to lick our wounds. We camped for about 20 mins or so and nothing bothered us at all. We decide to go to our next closest mission and I broke camp. At that moment a bunch of Pubams spawned right on top of us and proceeded toslaughter uswhile we were getting ready to leave. It was not fun at all. ![]()
I have also noticed on many occasions that red mobs will not come near us while I have a high quality camp set up.IMHO, this is proof that the high quality camps and higher keep aggroes from spawning and also at bay.
Unfortunately it would appear that you were the beneficiary of a fluke. I could list several instances where we could be sitting in a Field Base and have a lair spawn right near us, and get aggrod seconds lair, in the camp.

Thats possible. It just seemed to me at that moment that it was working because they spawned right on top of us the instant I broke camp. Hopefully its something they are working on. I do know that the group I am usually with never gets attacked while we are in camp and we have hunting alot on the harder planets.
Yup, I agree, you were partaking in a fluke. I've had agro mobs seem to wander around my camps before, but just as many times I've had them wander too close, and attack me in my camp, disrupting it.
As to the lair incident, I have noticed something. When you go to set up a camp, the game does a check to see if you're too close to a lair, whether it be one you can see, or an 'invisible' lair, that looks like random mob spawn. From my experiences, it seems that not only does the game check to see whether there are lairs around when you attempt a camp, but it ALSO checks to see if there are camps too close when IT attempts to build a lair. If there are, it seems as if it builds the lair, but puts the actual 'spawning' of it on hold, until the camp check succeeds. Once the camp goes poof, up comes the lair.

Not jumping on you my big hairy friend. Just commenting on something that has long been a sore spot for the Ranger community and myself in particular for some time.
Believe me we'd like nothing more than for you to be able to tell us it was fixed. ![]()
<now camping on Endor for box 4 and still getting aggro'd>
Having spent the past 2 days on Endor harvesting Mereks for their meat. (900+pe and OQ) I can firmly say that my HQ field base does not repel anything. Have had my base invaded by assassins and some Mantigrue as well as Jinda. The first isnt so bad and is easily dispatched. The later 2 can be a real pain in the butt.. wish my laser fence worked like a laser fence and not like disco lights..
"Oh, and to add, there was No lair that spawned, just the Pubams."
There most likely was a "lair" (ie Spawn Point), it was simply invisible.
If you had tried to deploy the camp again in the same location, it would have given you a message about being to close to a lair. ![]()
