Thread: /autotrack
I would really like to see a /autotrack soandso command.. where we could put in "/autotrack a gnort" for example and it would check every few seconds to see if there was one in range.
Anyone know how easy/difficult this would be to implement?
"Yes it'd be nice to track for a certain animal in specific, or a certian species. Like tracking any kind of bantha, or just a feral bantha in particular. "
That is the intention of /track. ![]()
From my understanding of the "still in the works" skill:
You will be able to select a target type, and if you are successfull, a new lair will be spawned for that type of animal...
You will be given a waypoint to the lair, and can do what you want with it. ![]()

Nice!
NRaas: Any word on when you would earn this skill? Novice Ranger, Master Ranger, Tracking I-IV?
A waypoint?? And do we get milk and cookies for being able to follow an arrow?
I agree with the being able to track a certain type of animal... as long as the animal exists on that planet andwould be in the region you are in... for example no Giant Dalyrakes on the beach in Tyrena on Corellia.
Why do we need a waypoint?Just give us a bearing and a distance and let us actually try and find the beastie.
For those of you who are compass challenged -- Never Eat Soggy Weenies (north, east, south, west... in order the directions clockwise around the compass). Distance is not a big deal, guesstimate, then do another track.
Make the profession better, don't dumb it down to the lowest common denominator.

who can read a map and compass, and seldom uses waypoints cuz he forgets to make em

Most likely it will be a high level skill, so it does not overshadow the /areatrack skill.
But I'm not sure where it will be placed in the skill set. ![]()

Possibly, if you have chef skills for making cookies from the harvested meat. ![]()
As for the milk... That is another problem entirely. ![]()

The waypoint sounds logical...
But we have yet to see the implementation, maybe it will be a Direction and Distance. ![]()
