I am basically a Master CH with track IV and wayfaring IV. Tracking helped out a bit in locating tameable creatures, and i was hoping that at IV it would give some decent skill (II and III allow you to see creature's special attacks, which is nice) All it told me, however, was the to hit rate and that is useless to me. Tracking people isnt something i care, or need, to do either. I like the idea of being able to track stuff, but the benefits you get from this line just arent worth the skill credits you have to sink into it. So, as far as reasons to be a ranger, this left me with just conceal..........

I guess I dont have to detail the problems I see with conceal, as many of you have stated my sentiments in many many posts. Never use it anymore, wont ever use it in its current form. Miss the old system badly.

So, except for being able to track monsters and being able to crawl at high velocity, I am really no better off now than i would be as a master scout...so I am thinking of dropping ranger altogether and building my medic skills with the credits this frees up. Its sad. I like being a ranger, the idea of the class. The way it used to blend with CH was really really cool too, and it made sense in an RP kind of way. Now, it really just seems like a waste. Anyway, just wanted to voice my concerns about the 'developmental path' our profession is taking.

I AGREE i am master ranger and want to drop it maybe for BH cause what use is it really? I am gonna wait though to see what next patch brings us. Cause a Ch i just got nerfed, but it seems that ranger just keeps getting more. SO that is one good thing about this class, but thats all seriously if ur not master already drop it flee form it asap

I've had no problems with this Developmental Path that Ranger is going.

Wayfaring Line. Conceal is going to be investigated , same with camo kits, It is in our Top 5 Issue to have things looked at if not fixed. Crawl Speed bonus I'm not gonna knock ya for those views but I love Crawling fast.

So with the Wayfaring line AS IT STANDS of RIGHT NOW, I can say that in conceal's current form, maskscent is just as effective. and that the Terrian Negoation modifers are hardly usefull (I use em all the time too)

Now in the future there should be some nice changes to that line.

Tracking Line
Your forgeting about one of rangers biggest bonus's in that line, HARVESTING. Thats how I pay the rent.

Tracking and to hit bonus's are just icing on the cake. Tracking is usefull for figuring out whats around you as well as baby tracking and people tracking.

Is the to hit creature bonus gonna get look at by dev's Yes. (Melee rangers WHOO hooo.)

If medic is what you really want then go for it.

I have the exact same beef except I am TK and am thinking about dropping Ranger to take CH. I'll miss the nice camps, the nice examine window and tracking, but really that's about it. The harvest bonuses aren't that much extra. Traps I can do without and I rarely use them anyway. I don't need to go into maskscentor conceal. The lack of depth in the class is really what is turning me off.

As for paying the rent, mission payouts do quite nicely.

I'm a Master Ranger and prospecting Teras Kasi Master and I'm not giving up Ranger for anything. I use everything in the tree except /conceal and don't mind having a few issues here and there. I would like to see TN work in cities because there's no difference in terrain except that there're no hills. My group depends on me being able to track animals, harvest goods, and determine the path to our destination. On that last note, I'd like to see rangers being able to see things further out than normal classes as it is out in the wild/open.
