What are the best professions to take in order to support ranger? I've currently got novice medic and a couple skills in carbineer. I do pretty well, but I'm just wondering if there's a better combination out there for rangers in combat.

if you have a group of friends that you regularly hunt with, try to compliment what they do. If they are melee, pick a ranged, or vice versa. A matchup with a Swordsman or TKM tank with a Rifleman is particularly potent.

Mastering any combat profession... pistols, rifles, carbine, TKA, sword, etc. will make you an excellent hunter. Find one you like and stick it out till you master it.
