I am seriously thinking of getting ranger skills since I already have master scout (BH). Anyway, my question was how much more will I be able to harvest from creatures at novice ranger compared with master scout? Is it a significant amount or will it take a full skill tree to notice a difference in harvesting amounts? If it takes a full skill tree ,it's not a problem, I'm just curious, that's all.Thanks.

"Is it a significant amount or will it take a full skill tree to notice a difference in harvesting amounts?"

From what I've noticed, the increase is around 30% over a Master Scout.

However, as the creature gets larger, the difference between Master Scout and Master Ranger actually decreases. For instance, for say a Krayt the difference may end up being only 15%.

Strange things indeed.

The short answer is not a helluva lot. That's actually one of the State of the Profession things for the developers to look at. However, if harvesting is your thing then it certainly will help (every little bit helps, after all).

Also, because of the Chef revamp, there's now a food that gives a bonus to Creature Harvesting: Veghash

Here's a sample from the Chef forum:
Creature Harvesting +14.55 for 11m 25s

Not a big bonus, but if you're going on a big hunt and have dedicated harvesters, this will definitely be of benefit.

What our illustrious leader was refering to was the difference between MASTER Ranger and Master Scout. THe difference between Master scout and Novice Ranger will be hardly noticeable.
