I'd also like to welcome you to the Lifestyle of Ranger
Manhacochett the Wookiee
Ranger, it's a lifestyle not a profession.

Welcome to the Ranger Forum.
A few words of advice:
Trust Fred Skinner. A good guy and the go-to guy for Antarian Ranger information.
Do not feed the Bothans: We're already very well fed, thank you, although most of us are a little...thirsty.
Disregard any Bothans you find in the punchbowl.
If you have a Ranger party come to your house, make sure there is a doggie door. The lines to the bathroom are long and confusing for the shorter species.
Clickies were made to be abused.
Disregard ANYTHING said by that no-good alchoholic Bothan Phenix1050
The biggest thing you'll have to learn is that we're crazy, we're funny and we make jokes that you won't get until you read everypost. I recomend going back through the old post (1 page back should be enough). You'll find out exactly what I'm talking about....
Most of all, have fun with the proffession and the forums.

Howdy all
As the topic says Im new to the Ranger Prof. Im just 2/1/1/2 at the moment but so far Im really having a blast. Not sure what all the skill mods do yet but just been experimenting on the couple I have gotten as I level up.
Ive readthe fact sheets and all but I still dont really understand the difference between maskscent and conceal. ....Should I be using conceal??
Well, looking forward to meeting y'all here in the forums. This is not a hologrind for me. I had Master CH and dropped it and since I had half scout done I thought I would give Ranger a try. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated especially on the various skill that I will acquire as I get to master.
Happy Trails all

/maskscent
- no materials needed
- lasts 15 minutes
- works on only animals
/conceal
- Requires a camo kit
- takes resources
- can experiment on as a crafter would for more uses (effected by OQ)
- you can use ones you can't craft - have a higher level make you one
- works on Creature and NPC
- There has been an issue about it not working on NPC. I have noticed that it works on some but not all. Devs have had an argument amongst themselves as to wether it was supposed to work on NPCs
- lasts 30 minutes
- you can apply it to others. Just target the one to be concealed
- odd stuff happens to Rifleman and low CL - there might be a bug with Rifleman concealment

Conceal - supposed to wrok on NPCs and Critters, but costs resources to make. Supposed to be better than .maskscent against critters. You can conceal other PCsthat don't have the skill.
Maskscent - Only works against critters but costs nothing to use. Can only be used on yourself.
