Thread: A successful hunt

So, here I am just decorating my guildhall after we moved it, when a message comes over the Holonet. A Gorax has been released on my planet, Lok. Deciding to put my skills to use, I set out to track the nefarious beast.
After a long search, wandering into the unknown and see nary a living soul. I finally found my prey. So I set down and kept an eye on it while I called my guildmates over. A few friends were invited and we set about to put this ravenous beast down. A long fight ensued and through the help of a powerful Assassin, we were able to defeat the Gorax.
As a side note, I admit that I was considering dropping my Ranger skills for something better (that works). But this day changed all of that!While /track would have been better, I will settle with having /areatrack for now.

Areatrack is still the most desireable skill we have. And you will find that your guildmates rely it on it more and more. As they learn how to use you to get information for them.

I spent most of last evening quartering the western end of Lok, checking back for new spawns of critters as I went through an area, taking some kills when something tasty presented itself, but keeping focused on finding the gorax.
Back and forth I went, slowly working up the map till I hit the invisible walls.
Gorax? Nope.
Jedi? Three. One of whom I like to think I helped kill a kimoglia with my stunning hail of pistol fire... yeah, well, I like to think that. (It's the brandy, it rots your mind after a while)
I dunno. I reckon I'd have trouble /areatracking my own a&&e without a map and a compass.

Spent a couple hours with another ranger last night looking for Grape Ape and never found him. Oh well it was cool learning about Lok. Second time i have just scouted and learned a place. Last time i found an Oasis on Tat but never did find snow

I spent a few hours saturday night tracking down 2 of those glorified chimps.... first one didn't put up much of a fight for the group I called down on it, but the second was kicking our ass even with a jedi in our ranks... loads of fun though (once we actually managed to track them down)
45 minutes of fighting the cimps, 2.5 hours of running sround /areatracking
