Hi everyone, at the skill Tracking IV, the description tells you that you are now able to track players, not just NPC's. Is this true, or yet another spin of deception from the game?

Yes we actually can track players. It actually might be about the best skill we have at the moment... really fun to. I do it just for kicks sometimes, and actually paid for it others.

Yeah id say our best skill by far realy. Its very cool when using it in towns, you can see where you friends are and RULE at hide and seak
Most of the time when i use it though i use it to help my jedi friends. I play the protector/lookout whilst theykill helpless animals hehe.
Most of the time is just spam area track to see if there are any players aproaching or nearby, they kill and let me keep the harvests.
Its a nice but sometimes monotonous so dont do it that often.

area track is not a spin or deception
however, be aware of its limitations and bugs.
1: There is a tracking hole around the 200-300 meter range, sometimes it works, other times it doesnt.
2: Vertical or mountainous terrain reads as flat terrain, so your tracking range is actually smaller.
3: It does not tell faction, profession, whether the target is mounted or on foot, nor does it give a waypoint (thankfully) forcing you to read a compass.
4: At tracking IV, you will be able to scan a 450 meter radius, which roughly translates into 636,170 meters of land in a circle around you.

I have tracking 4(not master ranger), and i've seen people consistantly at 450-499, this is in cities with flat ground(coronet for instance).
I'm fairly sure the max is 500, im not sure where the 450 figure comes from.
