Is there any way to make the stickies at the top more obvious? Perhaps a bright, flashing sign that says "Ub3r gr1ndag3 t1ps!!!"

Because apparently "grinders, read this first" isn't interesting enough a title and they clearly skip past anything other than a slap in the face. I'm not going to lie, I probably do the same thing when I go to other forums and post there, but man, sometimes you just want to ask somebody what they were thinking. This is one of those times. Whenever I see a message about grinding, first of all, my Ranger senses of sensibility kick in and I have to wonder, why, when the secrets of the Force is about to be released, why people are still grinding. Master Ranger is something you EARN. There isn't as much of a call to grind it because unless you're holo grinding, there's no uber great advantage to being a Master Ranger. Since that's about to be done away with....

It just seems to me that those who want to be Ranger are the types who would want to play the proffesssion, and the ones that want to grind to get Jedi should be patient...it'll probably take you longer to grind all the proffessions you need than to just wait to do the quests.

Therefore, I fully recomend we tar and feather and new "grind" posts. Then we should draw and quarter them.

lol. Seriously though, I bet I've made many uneducated, slightly silly posts on other forums (or on this one, for that matter) that could be answered by stickied threads and FAQ pages that I've just been too lazy to use. It's just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when people talk about grinding through a proffession that's not a grind proffession. Doctor, you grind through so you can get good money giving buffs. TKA you grind so you can solo big creatures. Ranger is, as we've all felt for a long time, a way of life. It's a proffession only in that we use it to make creds through harvesting. Other than that, it's a community, it's a way to play a game, it's a virtual lifestyle. We are the poet-warriors of the wilderness. Grinding to be the Uber-Poet-Warrior makes no sense....

Its ok Phoenix. Just go find your happy fishing spot and dream of a pack of Bothan woman. Remember we are the well mannered relaxed non-flaming group. Believe me when I saw this post I was all ready to as well. But I just put on my happy helmet and worked out where Gorax's live when released by smugglers.
