Does it even work?

I have noticed absolutley no difference being a Rifle Specialist, since gaining Master Ranger or any step in between. I know that the bonus is only suppose to apply to basic shots (lame in my opinion) and that it does not apply at all to melee (again, lame), but I still find myself missing rills and worrts several times in a row from ideal range.

Does +25 Creature To-Hit Bonus mean anything, or is it just another broken Ranger skill?

I've never even noticed it. Being a Rifleman, 90% of my shots are specials.
When I don't use specials there is absolutely no noticeable difference.

It's really just another useless thing to waste skill points on.
