Well this is it. I'm considering becoming a tailor. It was always my game dream to become one. I love the idea of being able to make clothes for everyone, creating unique characters. I'm going to wait for the CU to roll around to see if clothes will be wanted again or if Armor is still all everyone wears. After that I may end up becomeing a tailor.

First off, let me say I can not give my alligence to either party in teh endless struggle. My heart will always be with RATGWNIWNU. However, perhaps I can learn the ways of their order and use their own techniques to help us. (Kinda like how we can use the dark side to defete the dark side.)

Secondly, I'm not positive I'll do this.

Finally, I will keep scout and will alway be a ranger in truth and spirit.

Well we'll see soon.

Tailor was the first profession I mastered (including novice profs), and I can tell you having master is nice to have, but actually being a tailor is a pain in the Nevox (see Farscape for refernece). I spend 30 min carfting c something for a char, and then he refused to pay for the prototypes because they were not the right color, so about 5 pairs of pants, 4 shirts, 2 jackets, and a pair of boots where tossed away, Unless its black it does not sell on vendor. I got tailor when there was about 5 on the server, so even basic clothing were selling.

The only people who appreciate tailors are dansers, who I refuse to charge full price to because they give the game flavour. if you run into random people, that will ask you for clothes they usually say you charge to much.. they think it does not take much resources that are not specific, but they forget you spent how many hours getting the skill.

Don't get me wrong, if you enjoy being a tailor helping others, go for it... but expect some disgrunteled customers. I enjoy being a ranger, having tailor skills are fun, but I don't enjoy being a tailor.

Plus some things are just not possible, TRUST ME.. once you have a flat chested Mon Cal asking you to make her look sexy, you will know the meaining of futility.

my second account is a Tailor/Droid engineer, and i LOVE making clothing. i have not make a single pair of those wretched garments, and do not have any intention to ever do so, but there is just such a HUGE variety of clothing out there to make. especially for the ithorians. they made TONs of new clothing for those silly hammerheads.

i don't think my crafter will ever drop tailor.

I've never seen Scoer before, so i'll need to see him first. He's a Rodian, right? i'll need to see what skin color he is so i can make something good for him. i'll find some uber politician skill modding BE tissues, maybe one that lets you place streetlamps faster.

Hail to you Trobon18 ...

Tailor is one of the most communcative professions out there ... If you are into RP, even better. And best of all: the only crafters profession, where you don't need to worry about ressource stats (yet).

Yours,
Ipita

OI!!

Get your stinky trade posts out of the Ranger forum, you h{garment}t pushers!

In days gone by I was an aspiring tailor, but as I was hanging about with an Imp PvP-ish guild all they ever wore was full comp armour or 'something black'.

I still have a few crates of black workpants and jackets that I trickle onto the bazaar occaisionally. Oddly enough the white ones all went first. Grey, tan, feh, schmatter!

Been thinking of going back to it, or chef, just so I can craft a while again. Dunno.

Master Ranger/Master Tailor seems like a very interesting profession combination.

Although, of the crafting professions, I'm most attracted by Tailor and BE. I just hate the xp requirements to get to Master so I never bothered trying. Oh, and I hate resource hoarding.

Master Tailor/Master Ranger.... The bridge of the conflict. Or would that be Master Ranger/Master Dancer?
