Ok then i am going to retry ranger ( 3rd attempt ) i am 0040. I am also master rifle and the rest in in medic ( 4440 )
i want to be able to hunt:
krayt ( there is a suprise )
Peko albatross
GDK ( again ... )
also Rancors
The rancors are relatively easy - i think ihave that sorted. However after 4 hours searching for peko albatrosses i have come tothe conclusion that ranger is good for tracking a species ( like rancors ) - it doesnt seem to be much good at locking the more unquie creatures.
Basically i use area track - move 500m on my bike between a couple of fixed points and then areatrack again ... rinse and repeat.
... it just seem very sucessful for the specific creatures
I am not planning to get any of the other skills - but i am happy to be convinced.
Also if anyone on Chimera would be able to offer some advise where i can try i would be grateful - send me ingame email.

Rancors are easy because they are decoys for the poor worts that rely completely on mission terminals to find their victims. That, and dathomir is bombarded with player villagemovement constantly, making spawns rampant to say the least.
Krayts, albatross and other big game, however, demands a varying knowledge of server spawns and individualplayer creativityin tracking it down, which is what ranger is all about. Strength through exploration, experimentation and countless failures

The spawn in middle and south part of Naboo seems to be broken mostly, large areas are unpopulated. Even pulling out your pet won't let mobs spawn most of the time.
Also I had a problem with areatrack. I encountered a Giant Peko Peko on my travels, put a wp there. When I later came back to the wp I did an areatrack at 200m distance which came up with no result. Only when moving closer to around 50m did the thing spawn. If this happens with all mobs including Albatross it quite negates the areatrack in those areas ... on the north shore spawn is absolutely fine and I can see every creature in a 500m radius

The North shore is a great for spawns, I was hunting animal bones there, there was a seemingly never ending supply of animals on track, when I cleared an area, I headed 500m along the coast and there were more.
I saw a Giant Peko Peko near the north shore, it was HUGE, the biggest thing I have ever seen in SWG.
