Probaly the most unusal question you'll get here, but after buying the JTL exp, and working up the imp tree, apart from the yatch, what ship would be good to act as a hunt ship, been in the decimator, and it's nice though a bit cramped, for a big group, the yatch would be good if you had vendors and a buff/heal team aboard (docs, entertianers) meaning everyones ready for the hunt before we reach the planet, and a plan of action can be formed, anyone been on the alliance/privateer transports, probaly need to find someone on scyla to take me up in one each

Hunting ship? What are you hunting, Moby Nebula?
We take our fighters to the chosen planet, and if we have to drop a few wayward Imples on the way, more power to us.
I think I was on my yacht (notice the spelling) once. I really don't see any use for it, other than I may use it for storage someday.

I haven't been on board a decimator yet, however I have been aboard the rest (yacht, yt-1300, nova).
The Yacht is 'ok', but if you're actually using it as a kind of 'drop ship' there's a lot of wasted space in it. The nova courier has a nice gallery, but it is rather cramped (like decimator I guess). However, the YT-1300 has a nicely structured space. It's basically like walking around inside a donut.
Funnily enough, I was thinking of something recently (possibly similar to you), about doing a "field trip" for ranger fledglings with a ranger guild on my server, which while not joining, I'd like to help. (Jasco, if you read this, I mean you guys). I thought that a multiplayer ship would be ideal because you'd get to 'lecture' and prepare while you were én route. I don't havea YT-1300 of my own yet, but I have a friend who wouldn't be against ferrying some passengers.
The YT-1300 is the ship I'd use everytime though, even above the Yacht.

Well, Johnny No Mates here, I just travel wherever am going in the Z95.
I was on Endor last night tho when a huge party appeared all at once. Guild hunt travelling in a 'suub.
Made me feel like a little street urchin, face pressed at the window while all the 'cool' people were at a party indoors....

DaveG, that's a good idea.. My ranger guild had a group hunt saturday night and we started off at Bestine SP where I had my yacht docked. My wife who is a master doc was with us, so we all launched into space where we could buff without her getting bugged with /tells of "u buffing?". We only travelled to Mos Entha to head towards the Krayt Graveyard, so we really didn't do much space travel.
But otherwise, the multi passenger ships are great for groups to start out on hunting parties. Meet at the SP, group up, launch into space where you can buff if your group has a doc or entertainer, and then jump to the location of your hunt.
Sure you can just have everyone meet up at the location and buff there, but why not make it interesting.. Plus, it's a mobile storage unit, so if you need to unload your packs to make space for gathering loot, that's a great place for it if everyone has admin rights.

Yeah my idea was along the idea of the guild/group hunts, makes more for group activities or even if their not interested in the hunt makes a good support ship for the wild spaces in space (been to kessel). Already I've made use of my yatch as a hunt ship, with 2 friends as a buff team (doc, dancer) with a group of ten people all after kimolaga's, and GDK's, started in kimo town and moved back up to nym's, carn meat on the server is extemely good atm.
