Thread: Will Traps work on anyone?

How will traps work? Can target anyone...surly not, right?

Currently, Scout & Ranger traps are "Creature only".



Proposed in the revamp all the existing traps will move to Scout, and assumedly stay "Creature only". The new Ranger traps are, per the devs at this time, expected to be "humanoid only" (NPC and PvP).



This is a limitation that is one of the single biggest issues in Ranger currently, and something that many of us find completely unacceptible in the revamp ESPECIALLY given that the devs seemto also wish to tie us to a specific weapon line as a pre-req without wanting to grant us any specials FOR that weapon in Ranger. Pretty much the worst of ALL worlds, unfortunately.

Don't forget that humanoid-only means that player pets are most likely also not targetable by the new Ranger traps.

Even though the Scout "creature only"-traps don't work on PC pets.

The Devs need to get rid of these limitations for Scout and Ranger traps. No other weapon has these artificial limitations.

Bomb droids don't let you attack anyone, and niether will traps. You will only be able to use a trap on some one that you can attack. You can't just run around and throw darts at people.
