Thread: 2 Questions, 1 Post. First is on Camo, second is on a weird loot I got from a Bantha?

Ok, I'll try to make this quick since I've gotta get back to work

First, I know from the Ranger FAQ that there are different ways and forms of XP for Concealment than Mask Scent. However, I do not know if Camo Kits are more efficient in avoiding creatures, or if they are slightly less efficient but protect against NPC's and Creatures at the same time. Also, does quality matter in the Camo kits? when I was crafting some the other day, they had the "green, yellow, red" bars, which kind of threw me off since the only value that seems to matter is "Quantity."

Second, I was hunting Banthas yesterday, and I sent my Harvester R3 unit over to a Bantha Matriarch to get the message "Your droid was unable to retireve '1' item from the selected corpse," or something like that. I got the hide that it had harvested, but my inventory was full so I decided to delete some junk and see what it had. I found, strangely enough, a slightly smaller stack of the Bantha's Wooly Hide in the Loot box. Why? Did it eat its own hair?

Camo breaks like /maskscent. It seems to break about the same for me as far as rates go. It lasts much longer.

The combined OQ of your materials can give your kits more charges. The combination of the Weapon Droid and General tool/station give you the option to experiment this up. You get more points to experment with the 4/x/x/x tree.

As for the droid thing, you get that message if your inventory is full. You can fix your inventory and loot it off the corpse afterwards. Not sure what happend in you your case.

It's not a fluke. As stated, because your inventory was full, you were unable to collect the harvest. When you pick up a stackable item (or when you harvest), it actually needs a spot in your inventory to 'reside' until it gets added to an existing stack. The reason that the harvest becomes a loot item is, if you are hunting with someone, they can collect your harvest, so you don't lose out.

I already had about 700 units of the Bantha Hide in my inventory, and while I was harvesting these units I did have a full inventory, so I doubt that the "remaining" hide would require that I have 1 item less than the maximum that I could carry to retrieve it.

I understand the system of harvesting. The new hide goes into the stack that I already have, provided that it is the current Tatooinian Wooly Hide that this instance discusses. I am leaning towards the "fluke" descriptor because I looted 50 units with the droid, then I had to go over to the bantha and take the 38 units from it's Loot box. Not the "radial menu, harvest, hide" process, just /loot.

So, am I still wrong about the Hide thing?

Ya. Think of the stacking as needing one empty space.

We'll asume the we have one stackable kind of hide in two stacks, A and B. If you try and drop stack A in a full container that has stack B in it you get a message telling you that the container is full. If you make room for one thing and try again you'll see that for a moment before they stack the container is full.
