Hello all...I have always been a fan of the Ranger but, ever since the adding of mounts and vehicles (granted its not star wars without speaeders) the Ranger has been a little over looked I think. The biggest mistake was letting people "pull" pets and vehicles without needing to be in a camp or a city.I know the new planet is comming our way,but lets get real..how often are these dev's going to add a new planet???I think Rangers rock!! I think what they should do is let rangers keep the current skills but add new combat skills.I'm talking big combat skills to make them kinda like the(RL) Army Ranger,SEAL's,Delta, and so on....I wanna be in a fight..see a ranger comming..and get the heck out of dodge..Maybe a "Ranger only" weapon...or powerfull traps that work on non creatures like Tusken's,Kunga's,and PC's.what do you all think?

Yes, yes I do think that we would require weapon proficiencies. We should be able to craft weapons and armor out of Bone and Hide. Why else would we be looting the armor segments from Krayts?

Because the Dev's made us relient on other classes for our economical well-being, but not our survival. We can survive. We have the potential to do more damage to the big critters than any Commando could dream of with their 50 mil uberish weapons. Our bonuses to hit and damage are built in!

If it's sarcastic, I can understand it. If it's not then rephrase, cause you have no idea what you are talking about!

Well it was a nice thought, but if you read the so called new CU, you will find Ranger really has no place in this scheme at all.

Jolandir you said it...they are dropping the ball I think...it's very sad.Ranger is my favorite on the list of Prof. that I've never been. That list is pretty big.

I wasn't being sarcastic. Sorry if the repetition of "yes" made it look that way hehe.

I think that we should be able to use the stuff that we harvest on a larger scale than the bonuses we have would suggest. We should be able to use Peko Peko feathers, Krayt Tissues, and the armor segments, even if they are not for armor or weapons. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but then again I haven't a lot of sense to begin with hehe.

Yes it's been stated that any additions to the Ranger profession in the CU would only be bandaids, therefor the shift of focus on the Ranger Profession will be address in a profession revamp. And I agree with them once I get past the fact that we've waited almost 2 years to find any type of usefullness in our profession. And once you do get past the impatience you realize that building a vision for this profession, which needs a complete overhaul, will be much more sucessful when built on the improved combat system. Rather than to be conceptualized in the old system and implemented in the new. The only flaw I see is the "non-Combat" mentality that will haunt this profession until the powers that be bring to light the fact that combat is a requirement of all Rangers to be sucessful, and bring that fact to the forfront of any conceptualization that takes place. The onlyCU issues that are vital to Rangers at this point are tied to the new HAM system and skillpoint allocation. A master ranger has to be given the same credit in the HAM system as any other dual mastery template, aka max HAM stats. Rangers are nowthe only class that is required to master there prerequisite profession making it the single largest skill point investment in the game, second only to Jedi. This need to be either brought into proportion or taken as asign for the brilliant future of the Ranger profession. Game on, Good Luck and Good Hunting....
