Mineras.....I have read on the Test Center Server boards that they are giving all correspondants the ability to get a character up to a test level for each skill.

Here is the text of the email Holo sent, as posted by Zarlor, our beloved Doctor correspondent (one of the best, IMHO):

First we would like to thank you for your continuing patience. The Correspondent program is trying a while to get up to speed. As soon as we get our new internal contact hired, things will get much better. Until then, thanks for putting up with our irregular contact.

One of your requests that we would like to honor asap is for special Test Center characters. Please create a character on Test Center and email us the name of that character. In the next week or so, we will place special terminals on Test Center to allow your character to get experience in the profession your represent. We still don't want to give free xp to any player on Test Center because it allows players to bypass playing the game to see the higher end stuff. However, we want to make an exception in your case because clearly you have earned your skills in your profession and also there is a ton of value to you checking our fixes to your profession first hand.

Again, thanks for bearing with us during this difficult time.

Are you sure you have to leave asa Correspondant for us Rangers? If so...what is to come of us and the lack of someone to test these needed areas for Rangers?

First off, I wanted to add that Mineras will be missed. He set a great precedent for our next correspondent.

The whole correspondent timetable is clearly off. Originally, correspondents were going to rotate and I believe that still remains true. I believe about five (?) professions have lost their correspondent. Seems reasonable that the time to re-elect is near. Delta's double timing it in the interim (thank you!).

So hereare my questions. When do we reelect? What is the process? Who is interested?

"When do we reelect?"

- We don't elect anyone

"What is the process?"

- The coorespondents are appointed by the Powers That Be.

"Who is interested?"

- The message stickied to the top of our board called "Ranger Coorespondent" explains how to put you name in the hat

I apologize for my wording

I should have said:

Have we heard any updates on when they will put someone new in?

And no, we don't really reelect. I guess after seeing the petitions to "keep ___ as our correspondent", I made an assumption that they read the boards and take the community wishes into consideration. Its totally possible that they don't, of course.

My mistake. Thanks for reminding me of the actual process! Sheesh, you guys are good

Guys,

I'm not the official Ranger Correspondent. But I'm the Scout Correspondent, and I worked with Mineras on some of our issues. The Scout dev is the same as the Ranger dev and I'm a Master Ranger as well as a Master Scout.

I'm trying to be the "unofficial" Ranger correspondent until a new one is named, so I'm popping over here a lot more than I was before. I've asked to have access to the Ranger levels on the Test Center as well as the Scout ones so that I can test both communities.

I'll let you know when I get a response, or I get in.

I've sent close to 10 emails requesting to be considered the Ranger Correspondent ....

Seen nilly willy ...

I think I'd be a good replacement... (some might disagree)... but I do have good ideas and I'm level headed... (plus I play a solid ranger and have a year subscription)

I think you could do much worse...

Delta, Xion:

Thank you for the responses! Just knowing that there is some action on the topic makes me feel better. The Devs are busy, but I'm sure they are aware that some classes are missing correspondents.

Personally, most of the posts on the Ranger forum are so well thought-out and informed, I think there are many, many qualified participants.

Hopefully we will hear an answer soon!
