Thread: I'm Ranger Kromus and I play the Test Center Hello!
I normally post only on the Test Center, but a few of the posters asked that the Ranger profession board be included in my posts. I’m not very good at Ranger, but I try. I have one skill left to get, Wilderness Survival, and then I’ll be a Master Ranger. Those are my credentials.
Conceal: I personally feel that this is a very good add-on to Ranger. Conceal normally holds up for 20 mins. unless a creature detects you. You can also run past a lot of danger using conceal to your advantage. Conceal seems to break when you’re in a crowd of reds...hehe. Just remember to Burst Run, hit Peace, and run-run-run.
Tracking: Tracking does not give a waypoint, nor does it place an arrow on your radar. When you track you will be given a heading. Example: Gnorts 1787m SE. That’s an example of what you will see. Overall, it seems to work well. I understand that sometimes when tracking fails something happens to the Ranger. Have no idea what it is, at this time, but I can guarantee you, I’ll will find out...hehehe.
AreaTracking works pretty much the same, with the exception that there is no penalty if areatracking fails.
As for Traps, the new traps have not reached the Test Center yet. So, I have no way to test them, at this time. But if they play half as good as the Devs posted, I’ll be happy. So as soon as I have something on traps, I’ll let you know. If you have any questions that I might be able to help you with, post them under this post and I’ll try to answer as best I can.

Welcome to the Ranger forum. We tend to be fairly friendly here. Thanks for all your hard work on TC.
My understanding was that we'd be getting, eventually, both area tracking (seeing what already exists near you) and specific tracking (which generates a new mob of the type you specify), but that only area tracking was currently on TC. Can you either confirm or deny this?
I'll try to have an up-date when the new patch, that is going in now, is tested. I'll check both Track and Area Track.. and anything else you all can think of within reason. hehe.

/areascan should be the skill that is currently on test. If you use the skill the effect should be that you are informed that for instance u can find Baz Nitzes 1342 meters to the south east. Then its your job to track em down. That is the way I understand it. If im wrong pls correct me
