Thread: Concerning the tripwire trap
So here's an idea (more a thought, really) I already posted on the scout board...
First off, I'm not a ranger yet. I have the points and all, but I'm waiting till the changes (tracking! woot!) go in before investing. So I humbly grovel beneath you all ![]()
Now, this new tripwire trap. It works on NPCs ja? So I wonder if that would count AT-STs as well.
Because that could lead to hilarious things
Can you imagine groups of overt rebel ranger with combat skills running around Imperial controlled towns loaded to the teeth with tripwire traps.... Heh.. Trap AT-ST, blast owner ![]()
TC rangers.. Are the traps in there yet? If so.. A test, I wonder.. Here's the idea. Covert rebel ranger. Use trap on Overt imperial. Do you get a TEF? CAN you use the trap as a covert? Because that gives you a pretty useful first attack...
And if that works (I'm sorry about rambling on here.. I'm just sorta tossing ideas out as they come) then can imagine if you have a rebel combat group with a covert ranger. Wait till attacked by an imp with an AT. Send the ranger out to trap the AT while firepower is aimed at the imp himself.
We have (almost) balance!
Lol.. SO many rebel rangers if this works ![]()
Basically, if it works due to a game system, use and abuse it. So dropping a camp on top of a covert detector is not only legal.. I think its INGENIUS!!! Well done!
Guys,
It WOULD be ingenious, if the detector wasn't considered a "structure". You'll get the too close to a building spam. ![]()

*Of a sudden, imagines tons of Rangers setting up their camps on detectors... *
Very nice! Now quick, bury this thread... I wouldn't want any more imps catching on. (Yup, an often-times overt ranger!)
Chunk,
It works!
This is awesome.
Unfortunately, I can pretty much guarantee its not supposed to. ![]()
