Thread: Quality Correlian Herbivore
On the scylla server... you find one quality Corellian herbie meat dropper, you call me. Meat on this planet has sucked forever. Bone was good for a while. Meat and hides are at a new low, prompting me to hope the next shift will bring better. Until then, be ready to travel for herbie.

Any planet will do really, I just need to know an animal name and planet for extremely high quality herbivore.
thanks!
Neo
Can someone tell me what critter is best to hunt for high quality corellian herbivore meat?
Thanks!
you should know that meat resources cycle just like any other, at the moment, on eclipse, all corellian herbivores drop good meat (it's all the same stuff, ANY herbivore creature drops "corellian herbivore meat - abak" at this time).
you'd be well advised to hunt:
Gronda
Murra (Mountain Murra if possible)
Brackaset
Vynock
Durni
And most variations thereof, higher on the list is larger.

Right, I know, I just didn't know which creature gave high quality meat. Some creatures give low quality, some give high quality, some give carnivore etc. Was just looking for which creature gave high Q herbiv.
Thanks for the list, I'll check those out!
Also would like to add Krahbu (spelling), The Horse like creatures, The violent ones are nice, easy to drop and a lair will easily net you 300 units of meat. as far as quality goes, every server has different stats on the ressources, and have there own unique ressource shifts. Currently on Lowca the Corelian Herbivore meat is OQ 962, but the rest of the stats are all under 200.
As a related note, regarding ressource shifts, do fish and eggs also shift? I would assume yes because they are a ressource after all. But have not played long enough to see a shift on those two items.
Right, I know, I just didn't know which creature gave high quality meat.
That should be "I just didn't know which creature is giving high quality meat right now." A creature might give a high quality meat this week and next week it can be garbage with the resource shift. Herb meat is also one of those meats that often have two different varities going at the same time on a single planet. Hope that helps a little.

The text marked in bold is incorrect. If you kill the lowliest herbivore meat-dropping creature on Corellia it will give the SAME quality herbivore meat as ALL other herbivore meat-dropping creatures on Corellia. There is never more than one type of a given (animal)harvested resource on any planet at any time. You will get the same exact herbivore meat off of any Corellian creature you kill (meaning all the attributes of that herbivore meat will be identical) until the herbivore meat resource shifts. The same holds true for all the other meats, hides, and bone - only one of each type on each planet at any time.
It would be more correct to say that a certain planet may have higher quality herbivore meat than the other planets.. but not that a certain creature drops higher quality herbivore meat than another creature from the same planet.
"only one of each type on each planet at any time."
When everything is working properly, this is correct.
- However it is possible for the system to dole out multiple quality resources on the same planet at the same time.
Currently...
- Corbantis : Yavin4 : Scaley Hide
- There are actually two versions being given by the creatures.
However when this occurs, the same type of creature can give both types of resource.
Namely...
- I kill a Crystal Snake and receive Type A Scaley Hide...
- But the next Crystal Snake I dispatch might give me Type B Scaley Hide.
----
So it is possible to have multiple types... But it is not the norm.
- The norm is to have only oneresource per category per planet at any one time.
That has never happened on my server. The only time it does is if the resource all of a sudden starts shifting, but of course the previous resource is gone then.
Hmm, then my multiple stacks of tatooine herbivore and tat bones and tat hides must be from holding stuff during and after a resource shift. I've just assumed the different stacks were based on different creatures.
Well that helps me decide then what to clear out of the old inventory. No point having a stack of 100 hide that is no longer dropping, it just takes up space.
Thanks!!!
"No point having a stack of 100 hide that is no longer dropping, it just takes up space."
Agreed.
Generally, I use those spurious stacks for creating my camps... Rather than burn up the more valuable larger stacks on personal stuff. ![]()
