just wondering after the next big patch, what all the Master Ranger/Master [enter your combat profession here] will do with their other 18 skill points.

No you have 18 points left over after master ranger and mastering a combat profession assuming you don't take ranged support as a ranged combatant.

Novice medic 0-0-1-0

I have a 50% hunch they're going to up the Stim-B medicine use requirement. At that point, stim-A's might not be worth 15pts.
