Thread: Funny conversation
I was gathering meat the other day on Dantooine when I get this interesting tell:
them: you need to find me a graul or graul mauler.
(Laughing that they didn't even say hi or even ask if I would help them I responded
me: please?
them: oh yea, i hit return too soon.
(I continue laughing as I begin to wonder if the person really expected me to travel to another planet to find him one or if he was so clueless he didnt even realize he was on the wrong planet.)
me: you realize that they dont even spawn on this planet right?
....silence...
Completely rude and completely clueless all in one person, I love it! I often get tells informing me I need to come train someone or gather meat for them...but this was a new one. I really find it hilarious how rude people will be to you while expecting you to do them a favor.They just inform you what you must do for them.
I am sure this happens to other people given how often it happens to me. Anyone else have some funny stories?
The utter cluelessness and rudeness of this person who demanded that you find them notwithstanding, grauls and graul maulers do, in fact, spawn on Dantooine. I've tamed no fewer than a dozen of each, all within 2500m of the Imperial Outpost. By contrast, I've yet to come across one on Dathomir, where they're supposedly all over the place. Of course, I haven't been back to Dath since they "fixed" dynamic spawns...

I've hada few rude customers like that on another character. I always make sure to say hi, and always ask politely for what I need. If I get a negative response, I simply thank them for their time and usually offer my services if they ever need them.
On a side note: I do believe at least Graul appear on Dantooine (I don't believe I've seen the mauler variety anywhere). I'm on Dantoften, and I'm never on the other dangerous planets so i know I can't be mistaken. I was out for a long time and looked up to find a group of reds just ahead of me. I snuck my way a little closer to see the group of 4 graul and a baby. Being only novice scout at the time (same as my signature), I promptly turned tail and ran the other way. A group of them also impeeded a hunt of ours at another time, we got attacked from behind while killing pikets. That wasn't fun.

I do believe I took down a naturally spawning Graul Mauler on Dantooine, so I do think there is a rare possibility of them them appearing.
On that note, I once have found a Corellian Butterflyspawn on Naboo...

Not to pick nits, but it's not really rare to have these spawn on Dantooine. Pay me a visit on Chilastra, and I'll take you through the area that I frequent when looking for these guys. There are grauls, ancient grauls, frenzied grauls, and graul maulers. I'm guessing they spawn in the same general location on other servers as well - head SW from the Imperial Outpost, and you're bound to find some within 2500m. I usually stop every 300m or so and use areatrack to adjust my course.
You'll also find quite a few FS NPCs running through this area, and some of them end up as static spawns which will produce 9 or 10 if you stick around long enough.
