If hired: I typically charge 30k per hour with no guarantees for success in tracking. For that fee, I track, fight and provide some combat support such as healing etc. I make it clear that for this price, I dont have access to the loot. Before you accept the offer, let them know how tracking works and the bugs in the system, its embarassing for you to say nothing found, and then a krayt pops up out of no-where.

I do it for free and I have a right to the loot. With ninja-looting I rarely do it for free and only if im really bored. With krayt hunts, I usually go with guildies and friends so that its a fun experience and it doesnt feel like "work"

1) When I went on tracking missions I would normally charge 100k to find spawns as long as I was out there with a 50k retainer. I would do my best to find spawns for the group that were not already being camped. I would not give refunds also, 50k to get me out there to find one, then another 50k after I found one then send them the coords.

2) As for looting rights, I would not normally attack the krayt as I would get eaten fast. I just usually attacked it enough to get harvest rights and let the commandos loot.

I never thought of charging less for looting rights but I think that would work.

I got a 130k for tracking once. I tracked one dragon. Go learn where they spawn, set a waypoint and track in the general area. They always spawn in the same places.

I charge 25k for tracking, per hour or any part thereof, no guarantee of success. I track. No fighting, no looting, no healing. If the party dies, it's on them. I tell them this up front. If we are tracking krayts, and in 5 minutes I find one, I am done. If it's 59.59 minutes and no krayt, you get me for one more second and then youpay for hour two or I wander off.

I also tell them, should they all be killed, I reserve the right to take on their "prey".

Want to guess I don't get many tracking missions, thank the Maker. Boring.

i must be really stupid (or nice) i didnt know how much i could
make on tracking but when i have been tracking for groups i said
i could take 5k for every Krayt i found (usally 1 since the whole
damn group usally dont last more then 1-3 Krayts)

and when i see you charge 100k for trackin i feel iv missed out on
a few 100k the last few weeks..

I havnt made Master since im not macroing Frontiering and i hate
sitting in the camp all alone waiting, and waiting. I get some
good xp when im out hunting and set up camp but im sick of going
hunting 24/7..

In my sig you see "soon Master Ranger" and all i have left is
Frontiering IV (40000/65000) and iv had Wayfaring/Tracking&Trapping
for a long time so iv been in the buisness just as long!

But DAMN, my point is, i need to chrage more money for tracking, lol
