Thread: Some thoughts on lack of resources according to crafting professions.
The main reason for a shortage is holocrons. Grinders will buy anything for decent creds. Go to Dathomir for rancor leather ?? Nah, stay on Talus and kill lil animals and sell it to the grinders. Quicker, easier, safer, less expensive to me on travel.
I firmly believe it was the crons that caused/are causing this "shortage".
The second reason, like that whiney lil bahstahd who won't pay what we want, but is offering to pay what he wants... some artisans won't pay what I want, they get zip and complain there is a shortage. 20% profit per day, a million profit a week and they **edit** about paying 25cpu for meat and hide.
Oh well, I can get plenty of hide, and bone, and meat, when properly motivated. Too bad I got money to play with and want to do some themeparks.
Artisans can learn to :
A. Pay a fair price - or -
B. Go without.

Not to say that BEs are not part of the problem, but I have had Docs, Armorsmiths and one Tailor tell me I was overcharging. The same tailor (a he and not Nomain either) was selling shirts, no mods, 4 sockets, for 12k. Yeah, 10 cpu for oq900 hide was too much. What was I thinking?
They all do the same thing "Did you know the blank on this planet is really good?" No, I do not go to freaking Endor for wooley, I leave gurrecks alone, they don't eat me. "I could use some blank from this place" No chit Cherlock, you want to go beat on Rancors, Nightsisters, Makloks and Ancient freaking birds with me? Thought not.
I risk my butt, such as it is, you can at least pay me a decent cpu.
Wonder if whiney boy is harvesting his own stuff?

The hologrinders are causing the shortage.
I had to laugh at the guy complaining about only making 240k profit with a single factory run if he paid our prices. Cry me a river, my humbaba can wade it without swimming.
I need to redo the themeparks, too. Great idea!

Bingo....!
I love the bazzar, I can charge exactly what I like, people either buy it, or they dont. When I get my little mail telling me that player X has bought an item I may send a /tell advising him that I have more going for a discount if he wants the lot, but, I more often than not enjoy the fact that I dont have to have any banter whatsoever with the end customer.
Buy it, dont buy it, I dont care......
