Ranger Archive

Ya, I dropped my entire camping/trapping branches last night. I need to grind stupid amounts of FS before CU, and Ranger was keeping me back from having a good time. I really hope they give us a revamp sooner than later, because once I go Jedi, my alt will definetly be a Ranger (unless the situation remains the same as it is now).

See you later, I still consider myself a Ranger, so I will be in here quite a bit still. Take care everyone, keep fighting the good fight. And I promise that if/when I go Jedi, I'll represent my community to the best of my abilities, without the whining and moaning associated with alot of Jedi folk.

I did exactly the same thing as you last night for different reasons. Even though Rangers now get the CL goodness, I want to see if the grass is greener. I also dropped my prized Swordsman (I love my 'ammer). I picked up CH and Novice Marksman - CH is something I've never done before so if Dariane or any other CH has any tips to pass on, feel free . Last night was the most fun I have had in a long time. Me, my looted DH17 carbine and a baby brackaset I had in my datapad, running from worrts It was great! The novelty will wear off though, I know that, and then I'll be back camping my way through the wilderness, lobbing traps at things

All the Rangers on this board have done an AWESOME job of getting our voices heard with issues pre-CU (bonuses anyone?) and those relating to the CU - and it was all done in a nonwhiny way, backed up with calculations and documentation - impressive, most impressive.

I am immensely proud to have been a ranger and will be immensely proud to be one again, sometime in the not so distant future.

Well, for a starters, visit the CH forum. Lot can be learned there (stickies).

As for myself, use general points...

Taming:

* wear BE clothes (taming wild and vicious)

* wear BE clothes (camo, maskscent) and use MaskScent

* don't equip any weapon (TKMs: cut off your hands erm....)

*be ready to /burstrun out (especially when the baby you're trying to tame is a vicious one).

Allways learn the new pet all thecommands you can. I'd advise to go up to CH -1--, 11--,111-,1111 and then -x-- followed by x---. Doing it like this allows you to have the most pets in your datapad as well as good basic commands to be tought.

For fighting... try and learn... as a ranger should

Enjoy it. Sometimes it's nice to have a change of pace for a bit (for example, I picked up Fencer instead of SL until the CU because I needed a change).
