Thread: Curse you, Kimo scales

12 gurk hides...
6 Kimo sales...
And a really tired and pissed off bothan.
500k and all the components and you can have your RIS suit. Easy right? No. First, you will wander aimlessly around Yavin, tracking and searching for a harrower woolamander, just to find out that the only place you can find them is the palace. Then you will go to the palace and die attempting to get in, only to find out later that the harrower's can sence malignant intent THROGUH walls and will come RACING to you if you order a pet to attack.
Then you will go to Lok and search for some Kimogillas.... you will find plenty of Giant kimogillas, and plenty of Dune Kimogillas, but you will not find any Ginat Dune Kimos. So you will go look for kings gurks.
Between checking static spawn points and attempting to draw him out of lairs, you will spend endless hours NOT looting a hide. And then you will all of a sudden, and you will rejoice, only to be slain by one of those dune kimos you didnt need.
Finally you will head to Kimo town, loking for one of the giants. And there you will find them- but between loot hunters that kill them faster than you and lootless drops, the task of looting one will be hard indeed. And then, as you loot less and less and the chances of you actually getting loot go higher and higer, something odd happens- a guy named Cas force warps to you and insta-death ensues.
Then, you will realize it is 6AM, and that you have been up all night and need to work on monday. And you are short one single lousy component of your RIS.
And you will be driven onward.
Curse you, you scales! Curses on all of you!

Well at least you got wildspawn on Lok to search. Here on Bloodfin a single wildspawn of anything on Lok is a huge surprise in itself.
Once in a fullmoon there is nice spawns around Adi's Rest after server reset though and I can usualy grab some scales.
Just keep on looking, their out there somewhere

Gledako, I already have some Kimogila scales...
I managed to loot 13 from one of the GDKs lurking around our city, hehe.

On Bria, Lok is as busy as Dath was before all the village commotion. The hard cap on spawns are hit almost all the time. So you are lucky as heck to have anything wild popping up on Lok. On the 4th, I saw a spawn of GDK's near my house. OF course, the toon I was playing was only lvl35 so I couldn't hit the damned thing.

I killed these for four hours that night, finally I just gave up and bought what I needed. So far, no wild spawns of anything I needed. The loot drop, considering the difficulty of finding and killing these suckers, is horendous.

Don't camp at Kimogila Town - it's a place for Master Looters ,not Master Rangers.
Go to the south and use your Area Track - sometimes you can find up to 6 GDK in one place.
