Suddenly somebody has come and started shooting at my dragon.
He has only CL41, and I have no idea what he was thinking doing this. He didn't ask to group with me or tried to say something, just shoooting.
"OK, let see what can you do without me" - I thought.
Istopped shooting, and went "Out of range". A few moments later trap was broken, and this poor kid was dead in 2 sec. Aditionally his BARC speeder was disabled.

unfortunatly, that CL41 player could have been a noob who didn't know any better, and was exploring around and saw a huge dragon and thought, hey, i'm gonna help kill this thing. he/she might not have known it was the courteous thing to do to ask about helping.
i have seen a HUGE influx of new players since episode 3 the film came out. i know they are noobs and not alts because i've answered a ton of new player type questions lately.
When I get unwanted help. If I know I can out damage the help then let them help you take down the MOB.
Now if its Jedi or other CL80 again first how much damage have I done to the MOB first. If I will still ahve over 55% then let them help, if they are being ASSHATS then let them die.
I agree. He could have been a n00b. But at cl41 or whatever, he has been on for at least a week and I'm sure he has learned the advanced command of /tell..... Just a quick "hey need some help?" would have been great I'm sure. I let people group just about every time they ask. I used to love to hunt Krayts or other big nasties but I was getting camped on constantly.

My thou8ghts exactly. If he was a true noob, he learned a valuable lesson in attacking other peoples target.

Hopefully. He might be a future bounty hunter who's just mad at that mean ranger guy for getting him killed and didn't bother to think about what happened. (If he's a CL 40 and still attacked a Krayt without a group, it doesn't look like he did much thinking...)
I would have done the same thing.

Hunting?... with "pop tarts"?

Anyway, I'm a little torn with this little scene. It was stupid for the CL 41 guy to start laying shots on your target, but maybe it wasn't the best thing for you to just let him be. I'm not saying that we're supposed to be pushovers or suckers, but a bit of love could change the whole galaxy.
Pop tarts?*shakes his head negatively*
....Pop tarts... *sigh*
ROFL..love it.
My pet peeve while I am in game..is ppl stealing my kill, so this was great!!!
I was out with my pop tarts awhile ago, just dropped a Juvi krayt, solo. A bunch of Jedi show up and start banging on the canyon just as i am getting close to drop a trap on it. I"m camo'd so the dragon doesn't see me. They had to see the carcass of the juvi as they came to canyon. A blantant kill stealing in my books.
They back up with the canyon following...I toss a useless trap at the canyon just to get it's attention, saying nothing to the Jedi, i lured the canyon away..it started chasing me..i ran and threw adhiesive to slow it down. The jedi just watched...assuming of course the krayt would kill me. Not to happen...I killed it solo, they asked how i did it. I just told them never to take a rangers kill we don't like it. and wandered off.
I was blasting at krayt solo the other day these two "ubers" approach me laying on the ground as I'm shooting, watching me. I get a 'tell'. "hey dood....which rifleman shot do you use to do that?"
I usually have no rank ortitle above my character. I was busy shooting so I just changed the title to master ranger...and said.."read my toon" "ranger? how does ranger do that? " i didn't answer.
edit: I"m gonna miss the pdart! lol..it wasn't the loot..it was a chance for a ranger to show what they can do instead of being nerfed all the time.
