Can you experiment traps/camo kits/camps?

Do you have to be an artisan to do it, if it can be done?

Yes to camo kits, I increased yield from 2 to 5 without trying. Traps and camps, don't bother. Read this same question on the forum to get the specifics on how to do it.

No - experimentation points seem to be tied to one of the ranger skill trees. All you need is a Weapon/ General crafting tool (not your generic tool - that won't work) and to be sitting next to a Weapon/ General crafting station (big stationary things in cities) and when you create the item you'll get a menu partway through asking if you want to experiment.

It seems that kit experimentation fits Camo skill

As a bothan (+15) with wayfar 1 (+40)I have +55 and 5 experimentation points

Can one with the base +40 confirm that he has 4 experimentation points
