Thread: Just a new ranger saying hello to everyone
After realising the error of my ways (Delta, this one's for you) I've dropped CH and gone the way of the ranger (Hooah!)
I am, in fact, sitting in a camp as we speak, starting that grin.. And I thought the wilderness xp grin was tough as a scout! Heh..
Anyways, just wanted to say hello.. From what I've been reading over the past few weeks, the scout and ranger forums remain the most mature and relaxed boards around, so I'm happy to be joining your community.
See you in game! (when I need training.. heh)
Heya! Welcome aboard!
I advise you to hold on to CH. As a Ranger / CH you will be able to walk into the middle of a lair and tame the baby. All CH's I've observed are forced to try and scatter the parents. Personally I have counted coup on many baby animals with their mommies and daddies standing over us. My CH buddy drools for my mad ranger skizzels. Though you would be limited in personal fighting with both these classes, you would be rich beyond your dreams, and have an endless supply of rancors and nasties to boot. I have crawled straight into graul lairs, graping spider lairs and caves, and rancor lairs, all without being detected. Uh, that is, way most of the time.Burst run efficiency is sometimes good. But seriously, you would be able to swoop babies up from Dathomir with ease, and then sell them for a LOT of money.
Think about it!

But then I'd have to give up: (Ahem)
My medic skills (Orgo I - IV)
My marksman skills (All but master)
My brawler skills (unarmed I - III)
My novice Pistoleer
And we really can't have that, can we?
Haha!
Even though I am a creature handler and will remain so, I would have to say it is refreshing to see a non-CH ranger. It's just so easy for us to get and it's nice to see someone without. That doesn't mean that you can't have pets, there are some niceless thanCL15 creatures out there that you can control.
It's taken a while, but I've learned the loveliness of our profession/skill-based system. The diversity of players, the ability of choice, is fantastic. Welcome to the ranks of Ranger! Good exploring!
Er..
*Carefully hides his Kaadu and Wrix*
Yeah.. Never been a creature handler.. yeah... *cough*
Lol.. Haven't given up those skill points yet (2/0/1/1 CH), and I don't have enough xp to get any new ranger skill yet.. I'll decide as the time comes.
I probably will try to keep CH as long as possible.. Not for combat though.. I still have my fingers crossed for CH-only player mounts
So I figure my new template will be (haven't checked yet..will do in a while, dinner calls)
Master Ranger
Pistol Spec + Expert Ranged (Never taking these away! Ever! HA!)
Novice Smuggler (Just because I'm convinced that one day locked containers will contain Uber Lute.. heh)
As high up in CH as I can from what's left. Sigh
6 skill points left.. sob
Remember to have fun, thats the most important thing to do
Gunnar
I've worked it all out.. Hee hee.
I'm giving up medical (ouch)
Carbine (good riddance)
Rifle (Sniff)
brawler
and novice pistoleer
Oddly enough, I'll have exactly (with 4 left over) enough points to master both CH and ranger.. Tee hee
