in that it should allow you too select an item form the list and generate a Waypoint like a survey tool does. and if you use it again it should delete that waypoint and generate a new one. Again just like usuing a survey tool. This would make it so much more easy too use.

This is somewhat like what Tracking is going to be like when it is introduced to the game... Till then, Areatrack will have to suffice. Consider areatrack, "Tracking Lite".

Tracking will work like the destroy missions, or so I am led to believe

Areatrack is a very usefull tool, if you can get past the dead animals, vendors, and house signs!

Yeah, area track should realy stay the same. It works a treat and is fun to use. Its a basic skill in the tracking tier so is usefull for people who only want basic tracking skills. If you want to be a fully blown tracker, you get the /track ability later, enabling you to find a creature on a planet. Supose to work by spawning a creature that you want to track and then leads you on a 'mission' to find it/hunt it. I think its great that these two skills are set at different levels in the skill tree.

my point is this you can already do this with a bit more work. if you drop a waypoint at your feet you can use it to reverse track the direction form there. if your target is 350 meters north you drop a waypoint and just run too it till the meter on that waypoint reads 350meters south. So it realy wouldn't hurt anything at all to have it work like i dicussed in my first post. you will stil have to go there and get around stuff and rely on what the server generates. the higher track skill will generate the mob and a waypoint too get you there.

Maybe i am just being lazy but whyhave a list you can't selecect from and then not just click and gen the waypoint?

I have seen some screenshots of people with a waypoint monitor window on their screen, how you activate that monitor?

Yeah. I've suggested that before.

My areatrack macro looks like this:

/areatrack;/combarea;/pause 7;/smell;/pause 4;/attend;/waypoint

This adds a few neat animations while you wait for aretrack to load the creatures and sets a waypoint at my current location to use as a marker.

If anyone knows a command to delete the last waypoint made, I would be very happy! After a long tracking session, I end up with quite a collection of old waypoints.

Do you have animation suggestions for when applying a camo kit?
