Thread: Where's the Meat?
One reason is you may have been in a resource shift, where no matter what you kill, you may get low meat yield, low hide, or low bone. The other day, if I wanted meat, I got 1 off creatures..period, hide was good to go.
Second, if he is grouped with you, he is gonna get 60% of his normal harvest. If you can harvest or not, he is hosed to the 60% level. Its a bug, but we gotta live with it for now.
Tell your buddy to run solo, or disband before harvesting. By now the shift is over, and he should be getting normal harvests.

I saw some messages indicating that people are getting reductions in harvests as scouts/rangers? A pa buddy and I went out hunting the other night, trying to find a good source of herbivore meat. That is because, as currently the only Master Doc in our smallish PA, I need herbivore meat to make the better buffs and heals and such (as well as Avian Meat). Anyhow, we down some rontos and he gets like 4 or 6 meat each off of them. Next we try some banthas, he got 8 meat off one bantha, then we got killed by the combination of a bantha matriarch, and a thug who just happened to be close by and agrod on me.
Anyone else think something is seriously wrong when you only get 8 meat off an animal as large, and tough, as banthas and rontos? I need to get stacks of 300-500 meat to do even a partial run of components or meds (for some stuff, if I want to make a full factory crate of 50, I'm gonna need 1200-1400). I can't ever find *any* stacks of herbivore and avian meat on the bazaar, except stacks of like maybe 50-150, which, while better than nothing, isn't very helpful.
Considering that meat has to be harvested by hand - you can't use harvesters, and considering theres sometimes considerable risk in harvesting it, SOE *needs* to increase yields, IMHO, in order for there to be enough meat to meet market demands. I don't mind paying a premium for meat (I rather expect I would, and since I can get people to, generally, pay me well for buffs, I can afford it). I suspect yields of say 30-50 off some of the larger/tougher animals would probably be sufficient to justify the risk and time.
I totaly agree!!!! after the patch the nunber of harvested meat units just isn´t the same!
And what will the effect be: For me, my price of high quality meat has trippled and I almost cant make any money con. the travel expenses to get the realy good meat! therse not much profit at all!!

sorry, but this is not the issue. I am getting a max of 37 resources from large creatures at master ranger now. That is solo.
