it's sad but if I'm looking to get invited into a hunting group I will change my player title from Master Ranger to novice medic, even a group with medics already present will have another over a Ranger anyday.

anybody else experience this..?

(You should see the looks on their faces when I throw upa Field Base Camp sometime later btw)

Well I have never been asked specifically or been sought out because im a ranger... except for this one guy.

I was soloing on Dantooine, slowly working on Rifle and Ranger ( before I was Master) when this Master Armorsmith/Fencer guy came up and asked if i needed a tank. I said sure why not. AFter we finished off a lair, he was going to leave to get meat off of Pikets. I asked if I could tag along and grind trapping, I told him in exhange for letting me come I would harvest meat for him and give him all i harvested. He was shocked at how much i was harvesting and since then has requested my presense while he gathered meats and hides and the like.

When I took Novice Ranger, my friends were all asking "What does that mean?" So, we went out for some hunting, and after a couple minutes of dead time, with nothing in sight, I did an area track. Bam! Critters to play tag with.

Next thing I know, a few days later, I'm getting tells from my friends, and from other friends of theirs. Apparently, the ability to aim at game is sometimes sought after - especially when the game is Kimos.

Once I improved my harvesting, my armoursmith wouldn't leave me alone, too. Nor my doctors. Nor my BE. Tailor too. In fact, come to think of it, I still can't keep up with the demand for stuff, and am getting rich by accident because of it.

I think that others understand the importance of Rangers, but only after they have experienced it.

When I keep my master ranger title up, I am constantly getting tells asking me to join hunting groups. People are starting to realize the power of tracking

Another great way to make some cash is to take BE's out to get DNA samples. I take a small group of BE's to Dath, Dantand Endor. The BE's I deal with do not have maskscent so I apply camo to them so they can get close to the big critters (Rancors, Bull Rancors, Grauls, etc.) to get their DNA samples.

Once onelair is finished areatrack and move on to the next group.

The BE's get their DNA samples andyou get to harvest some large quantities of hides/meats/bones and get paid cash. If you are a CH you can work in a deal to get an uber pet as well. Last run I got alevel 64 gurreck w/ 13k ham, armor and 550 damage, all for one hour of helping out the BE.

All of the above has been interesting reading. I'm wondering if its the fact that I'm on a new(ish) server (Farstar) and people are not really aware of the skills a Ranger offers perhaps..?

If you are not getting orders just go to your galaxy trade forum and announce you available for orders.

Watch the emails come flooding in from doctors for herb and avian meat hehehe

same here, I've been contacted to join hunts or DNA sampling quests since I've had my Master Ranger title. People might not want to be one, but there are those who value our skills.

I think its the server. I have regular customer that wont do business with anyone BUT a Master Ranger. The reason is because of the large orders of meat and hides they require. I also am constantly being placed in Tell-Hell to join groups and to track critters of a specific type for them. Once word gets out brother.......you better learn to prioritize and multi-task cause its going to get busier than a one legged man in a butt-kicking contest.

Just be patient.....it is a Ranger trait afterall
