one question though, that bread you had confiscated... was it sliced for HAM?...
Kago's stomach grumbles.
EDIT: I completely forgot to mention how oddly satisfying this story was... very enjoyable...

You gave me a headache...
ROFL!
...and before I forget, great story Odai!
The legend begins ( or how Odai got trashed again )
or
- the Legend of the Elusive Gahanna Lion -
What started as a pleasant day for Master Ranger Odai Wavelighter
turned very ugly, very rapidly. While happily grinding Pistoleer
XP hunting little docile bunnies on in the rolling hills of the
mid-Ohioan flat plains Odai received a Tell informing him of the
spawning of a new creature that had carni meat stats all higher than 900.
This creature - the Elusive Gahanna Lion - was currently
terrorizing an outpost to the north-east of the Great Star Port of Columbus.
Dreaming of a leisurely life of fishing Antaria's pond from his front porch
Odai set off in pursuit of the Elusive Gahanna Lion.
Just think of the many fabulous fish that can be caught, framed,
and hung in the cantina—
Sorry… I got distracted by thinking of how anxious Adwi will be to
receive so many fine gifts. ..back to the story.
Odai immediately planned a course of action to rapidly traverse the
vast distance of 2k by utilizing the shuttles of the Great Star Port
of Columbus.
Upon arriving at the Great Star Port of Columbus Odai purchased a
shuttle ticket from (for some reason) a laughing ticket vendor.
Stupid vendor didn't even have a galactic map.
Shuttle ticket: 420 credits
Odai proceeded to the shuttle waiting area and spent the mandatory
10 minute wait pondering why the departure location and the arrival
location were listed as the Great Star Port of Columbus. They must
have mis-printed the ticket.
Upon arrival at his destination Odai remarked to everyone in the
general area that the arrival area looked exactly the same as the departure area.
Of course no one paid any attention to his remarks.
While exiting the star port Odai was randomly scanned by an
AIR-COPS crock-pot droid and flagged as having a sliced laser rifle,
a sliced 44 pistol, a sliced rocket launcher, a sliced flame thrower,
and some sliced bread.
All of which the AIR-COPS impounded.
Suffering this from this abuse Odai stopped by a convenient Weaponsmith's
shop just outside the star port.
You may have heard of it--AIR-COPS Sliced Weapons (used) Mini-Mart.
Cost: 50k credits for a half used up laser rifle, 40k credits for a more
than three-quarters used 44 pistol.
And before you ask—NO! They didn't have any bread.
Upon leaving the vicinity of the Great Star Port Odai attempted to
generate his trusty landspeeder; MX-5 speeder, instead he selected
the wrong item and called his most loyal hunting companion
Bob the Alley Cat.
This time the CITY-COPS pounced (notice the word pounced – like a cat
) upon Odai for having an unlicensed pet.
Cost: Free Odai out burstran the CITY-COPS before they could raise the
TEF (telling on every felon) flag.
Escaping the vile clutches of the City-COPS Odai managed to generate
and mount his trusty landspeeder, MX-5 and once again embarked on
the Great Creature Crusade.
Much to Odai's chagrin he some realized that he needed to be buffed.
After stopping at several med centers only to find that all of the
Docs were out on the course grinding XP to become BE (Big Engineers)
Odai decided to fall back on his old standby – Miller Golden (lite).
Odai stopped at the nearest buffing location – Karnel Delight's
house of Buffs and topless cantina. Amazingly he found that he could
also get mind buffed at the same time by utilizing the multiple
talents of the MEs (MEs are Master Dancers that are allowed to charge
a 1 credit entrance fee). Unfortunately all of the MEs were heading
out the back door to attend a soiree given by the local Guild Master so Odai was left to solo buff all by himself..
After several rounds of Miller Golden (lite) – fifteen to be exact
if you're counting. I know Odai didn't.- Odai felt that he was capable
of taking on anything (except the ME that looked and smelled like a
walking rug.
Once the buffs kicked in Odai made a quick exit only to run smack dab
into a group of Vile TOWN- COPS. As it turns out – being the super
sharp Ranger that Odai is-the TOWN-COPS didn't see Odai because he made
use of a super camo kit from his pack.
This kit consists of a BH droid – (Big harasser) that distracts
everything in the near vicinity.
Odai again attempted to mount his trusty landspeeder, MX-5 –well
it was the right color. Darn vendors and their vehicle customization
kits.
Odai mounted his trusty landspeeder, MX-5 and was off again.
Luckily Odai had his ever present chat window tuned to the Spatial channel and intercepted
chat code that told him the Elusive Gahanna Lion had been spotted 1254m or 985m
(who's is the closest?) away. Upon hearing this bit chat Odai put the pedal to the metal and
– darn trees always getting' in way- was away in luke warm pursuit of the Elusive Gahanna Lion
. As Odai arrived at the specified WP (Watering Place) he immediately stored his
trusty landspeeder, MX-5 before the COUNTY-COPS could impound it. After the
COUNTY-COPS ran off in pursuit of another of Odai's BH droids he made use of his
inbred Ranger skill to areatrack. This resulted in Odai locating 12 spiteful Sprints,
5 Tanged T-mobiles, and 3 Vicious Vorizons; but no Elusive Gahanna Lion. Expressing himself
with his favorite word RATS! Odai began to realize that the Elusive Gahanna Lion was
smarter than the average carbineer. Odai also realized that he would need more AT&T traps
to harness this creature so he retreated to a friendly little cantina – McHutts. During his
brief visit to McHutts Odai not only crafted the required AT&T traps but he rebuffed
himself with several additional rounds of Miller Golden (lite) and ate a couple
McSynthaSteaks just to be on the save side. When McHutts closed for the night-
they didn't really want to close but some smuggler laser blasted another dude over a lost
cargo and a head price. (Odai never did get the whole story. He only got parts 1, 2, 4,5,and 6
and he did think that it took place a long time ago and far far away…..) Odai once again
embarked on an extensive search for the Elusive Gahanna Lion. During the exhaustive
search Odai managed to not only not locate the Elusive Gahanna Lion
but he managed to be chased by 3 Spotted Growl dogs and 6 mini-PvPs
positively peeved players) armed with stone throwers.)
As usual in Odai's world the Elusive Gahanna Lion popped up right
on top of Odai.
This was the beginning of one of the all time battles recorded in
history (OK it was only recorded in Odai's historical diary).
Odai realized that the fight of his life was on when the
Elusive Gahanna Lion pounced (there's that cat like word again)
upon him.
Odai immediately equipped himself with his used Laser rifle (remember
it cost 50k) and selected healthshot2 as the appropriate action.
I'll bet you didn't know that Odai has always wondered how the magical
floating messages appeared before his very eyes did you?
Of course he received an immediate airborne message stating that he did
not have the necessary skills to use the laser rifle followed closely
but another airborne message that the selected action can not be done
with that weapon.
Odai expressed himself with an utterance of his favorite expletive
RATS! When he remembered that he gave up Marksman for novice artisan
and he immediately re equipped himself with his really used 44
(cost 40K) only to see another airborne message stating the he was
incapacitated by the Elusive Gahanna Lion.
Thinking that he was going to be able to wait out the incap clock Odai
commenced to check his inventory for items to place on the Bazaar
to pay the maintenance on his house when the da-da-da music
(just where does that come from anyway) announced that he was slain by
the Elusive Gahanna Lion.
For once Odai's hindsight paid off. One of Odai's master trainers
(cost 6k) taught him Odai to have the foresight to clone himself before
taking on a mission. So Odai stored his clone data at his favorite
cloning site: Dinky's cantina by the all powerful DEVs and will respawn
in a few releases. and cloning shop.
As Odai updated the creature identification statistics book he rebuffed
himself with a couple more Miller Golden (lite)s.
As for the Elusive Gahanna Lion…
Some say it is out there waiting to eat Odai again, but may be not there
is a rumor that the Elusive Gahanna Lion fell deathly ill upon feasting
on the remains of the mighty Ranger Odai and is still in a coma.
Others say the Elusive Gahanna Lion was de-rezed and will be respawned in
a future publish.
((To this day TRhe elusive Gahanna Lion has not been harvested))
