I tend to find good spawns of krayts near the abandoned and broken down sand crawler..
otherwise, its really hit and miss.

i use this on lok around the volcano for GDK's, i setup 15 spawn points numbered 1 through 15, ill make a run every 15 minutes or so after completing 1 "pass", sometimes regular kimogila's spawn but no GDK, if it is a Lair Spawn and a lair appears, ill kill 1 or 2 kimogilas and hit the lair a few times and a Giant Dune kimo will spawn.
Know this isnt the question you were asking but just wanted to give you an idea. Krayts seem to spawn all over the graveyard and outside of it, on my server i have some idiots that planted a guld hall on top of a "semi" static spawn. Your best bet is to setup a patrol on the outer perimeters and track every 15 minutes. I myself dont hunt krayts as they beat the crap out of my armor and i get alot of kill stealers on Ahazi that will come along and steal the kill of smething im working on.

Lately, the hunting of Kryats seems to be the Nationaly Sports in the Europe-Infinitu server. I mean, the graveyard is almost as crowed as the big cities. So it's hard to find a Krayt.
Answering your question, West and SW of the graveyard (3k or 4k maybe) I've seen Krayts also.

When I take a group to the graveyard, I usually leave them at one end of it, and run along the top edge of the canyon. I run along the edge, doing track ever once in a while. When I hit the other end of the canyon, I cross over to the other top edge and run back, doing track here and there. I maybe actually get a spawn 1 in 3 times I go out there. Spending maybe an hour trying.
Be aware though, one of the melee weapons quests sends them to the graveyard, and the quest actually spawns a krayt. You cant tell the difference, but they have no loot or anything. For the quest, they just need to kill it.

You can sometimes tell the difference if you look carefully.... These scythe mission krayts always spawn with a magseal container with them. Quite a few times they seem to carry the container with them, hanging from their neck like a little necklace..

I've been riding the west edge of the canyon along the ridge.... been getting most pops there about even with the spot you get the badge from (center of the graveyard I believe)

My alt character is Master Swordsman/4000 Fencer/0030 ranger/0040 medic
I got the ranger so i could track krayts, i have decent luck with this, sometimes im out near the graveyard for hours looking for a spawn, but no no avail.
I want to know, where should i use area track around the graveyard for the best results?

Speaking ion this topic......has anyone else noticed it does seem to be terrain limiting. By this I mean the higher you are the better the returns. I ask this as an open ended question, because I cant prove it.....it just appears that way!!

Well what i do is set a waypoint on the POI marker. then run concentric circles around the waypoint. First I do circle mantaining 500m from the waypoint and doing area track everyonce in a while. then I do 1000, 1500, and last 2000m. I have found Kryats in all circles.
Also thi smight be obvious but make sure you have a vehicle or mount and have mount and dismount hot keyed.
I hope that helps.

That has been listed as a bug in the past. I wonder how the new line of sight changes will affect tracking...it looks like I need to run off to TC and some testing
