I was one of the 1st Master Rangers, but of course I dropped it after 6 monthsbecause I desired to actually ENJOY the game...

I just want to know, is everything still broken and or weak or bugged?

I am specifically curious about camo, what's the status? I have a ring +3 to camo, and I am Bothan, does that help?

The 2 traps work yet?

How is tracking lately?

I want to become a BE/Ranger with a little Riflemen, I figured it would be easier to sneak up on a Rancor if I was camoed.

Thoughts?

  1. Nope. Don't bother. But you could anyway and help us make.."us" .. better. Oddly enough I seem to remember your account name...

  2. Gonna pretty much have to be a master to use that camo against a Rancor. You see, camo for Dathomir is at master only. You could have a master make it for you, as long as you have the /conceal command and a kit it still works.

  3. Traps only induce aggro for meleers, I personally do not bother. Dizzy is valid on NPC/PC only, our highest trap uses that and can't be used on NPC/PC. Fun, eh?

  4. Devs have finally gotten a clue just how weak we are. They have decided, however, that we will be last to see anything improve.Jedi will be first. Then SE. There is a "Correspondent Issues Patch" comming, but I hear not to keep our hopes up.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

Welcome back Flynn....the only thing that has changed in a long time is the fact that NRaas stepped down and left some moron in charge. I know we will get a revamp someday, but I really can't give that much hope that it will be in the foreseeable future. I am still trying for changes, though!!!

Hey, I'm from the Mineras days.

Boy, how things have changed...

I am glad Ranger was my first profession.

When you had to run everywhere, I was first! I remember running to the Volcano on Lok from Nym's.

I discovered all the POI's (well most) BEFORE POI's were a waypoint!

When you needed to heal or needed to call a pet or droid, I had a camp!

Again, I hope things can work out, but HEY, Mandalorian armor? NICE (can we forage for that? because there's no way in hell we could benefit the mission to actually GET IT)

BTW, before I drop Master Commando to head back to all the glory that is Ranger, let me just rub it in that I soloed 3 Kimos yesterday! (but hey Master Scout first right ? )

To answer your question:

- Should I come back?

Answer: No !

Why?: Rangership is nothing more than a scout.... Don't waste your time, just go Scout and spend your other points on something more useful... like CH?

So go BE/CH/Scout and a Rifle.... it's a lil more useful than spending all those skill points on Rangership.

The ones that are loyal to Rangership know what they are sacrificing.... that included me. I keep hoping for a brighter future.... Maybe one day we can add value, not just be "organic harvestors for hire".

Haha, I check in from time to time waiting for them to fix Ranger so I can come back. That reminded me of some of the cool things when I was a Ranger. But unfortunately, I haven't seen anything to make me come back just yet. Hopefully soon.

PS Did NRaas stop playing or just not the correspondant anymore?

Welcome back Flynn

Not many things in the Ranger Forum have given us cause to smile of late...but seeing you return is one.

I would advise against going Ranger again for the foreseeable future though. The dev's themselves don't know from one day to the next which story :coughliecough: to tell us as you can see in other threads.

Your input, as always, is very welcome.

Thanks for the info and the welcome.

I was always a Ranger at heart, I specifically picked a Bothan to get the bonuses. (which I still dont know if they mean a thing)

I hope things get straightened out.

I am gonna go Master Scout at first...in preparation of Ranger getting some love.

Until then I'm gonna start spouting off in these forums again! (I'll try and keep it down)
