I like having a speeder, and I love my mounts. However, I have been enjoying just "old schooling" it. By that I mean on foot. Just my rifle and Tusk Cat and it's a nice change of pace (no pun intended).
You can actually here the outdoors!
Any other fellow Rangers doing some old schooling out there?

I do... when i have time to kill, I really enjoy hiking across the planets... however lately, ive been harvesting for clients, and running around doing errands.

I still take time to walk around and enjoy the scenery.

I do all the time. I frenquently take bounty hunter missions, and if the mark is within a "reasonable"distance (say 3km away or less) I hoof it over there on foot, and hunt along the way

I rarely bother riding around. I don't like the new trends to having this game be more like a job. I rarely ride around unless I'm meeting up with someone. I like exploring. Luckily, maskscent and conceal work well enough to keep me from dying while wandering around (I made a full circle of Dath the other day and only got incapped twice but no DB--stupid purboles).

I love the occasional mountless hunt. I even have a few buds that will hunt with me without mounts/vehicles. However, many people prefer the quick pace type hunt, so I go with the flow there.

I enjoy wandering around on foot sometimes. I mostly depends on my "goal" for the evening. If it is just to have fun hunting, walking is the way to go! For other things I just don't have the paticence for hoofing it... so I pull out my landspeeder. It is slow enough that I can normally see the spawns at a decent distance still. I'd rather use a mount but actually don't have one for Elesar yet.

I rarely use my speeder. Today was actually the first time I have in several months (excluding a few group hunts). I alternate between using a mount and running depending on my goals and available time.

The past few days I have been running all over the Riverlands region of Corellia looking for great plains stalkers and shopping. Last week I ran from one outpost on Yavin to Exar-Kun's temple to the Blue Leaf Temple then to the other outpost...

I walk or ride my Kaadu everywhere. I like to move from mob to mob and harvest whatever resource is the best from them, so walking is more practicle. With a swoop or vehicle, I end up missing the good spawns. It's also annoying to ride/dismount/areatrack/mount/repeat..

I only use vehicles when I want to run missions for quick money (although my mount gets me there fast enough), for group hunting or if I have to log out and need to head back to town fast!

I am an adventurer by heart, so you will see me running around on foot often. I mostly do it on foot or on a mount and only use a vehicle if I need to get somewhere in a hurry.

I get on in the morning to do a harvestor run, then grab two quickie missions (pays the harvestor upkeep). I do ride out to the first of themissions, but tend to walk to the second and then back, and see what spawn pop up to be harvested.

Today being typical, I hit a tortur lair (mission), a Liberationist camp (mission), a tortur lair (spawn), a load of pirates and Aqualish (spawn), some fynocks, paralope and some enranged humbabas ( I wish whoever is pulling those for a mission would do em).

Made my morning 8k, dropped over 2.5k of leather in the hide bank (grrr, shift, and I was up to a 15k pile), and looted a CDEF rifle with DOT poison. All this in 20 mins. Not a bad run. Most of the spawn would have been missed if I was riding - too lazy to dismount.

the only times I pull out the speeder is if I'm in a big hurry, or if I'm with a group using them.... otherwise, I'l throw up /maskscent or /conceal, pull out my rifle and start hiking.

by the way, rumor on the kauri boards is that they will be slowing down speeders with patch 9. Not sure the validity, but I remember reading that a dev at fan fest was saying that vehicles should be as fast as mounts "for balance issues", which may or may not have anything to do with it..... just wanted to give everyone a heads up
