I ask myself this question since long ago, but I've nerver asked here
You know, I've noticed that when I use resources with hig OQ I get 1-3 camo kits more than when I use resources with low OQ.
Besides, Is the number of items you get affected by "general crafting skill" or something like that? Crafting in "experimentation mode" does not seem to help.

The number of traps in a stack can not be increased. Camo, however, can be experimented on to increase the the number of kits when crafting them. To do this, you need a Weapon, Droid, and Generic crating tool and WDG craftin station. Use the tool near the station, and after you assemble the camo kityou will get the option to experiment on the screen where you chose to create a protoype. Disregarding resource stats, and tool/station ratings, I was generall able to experiment from 5-6 use stacks up to 12-15 use stacks.

Once you are able to experiment using those tools Calc lists, it is the OQ of all your components that limits experimentation and thus stack size. If you find the appropriate resources have high Overall Quality, I recommend stockpiling them for future kits.
Otherwise you are at the mercy of whatever the current resources are, and more than likely that means at least one is utter garbage.
Also, wearing clothes with +conceal and being a Bothan increase your experimentation points. With both you can have up to 14 points. You won't need that many more than likely, but if you carefully pick your resources or you get a few failures, they will help you recover.

The main reason I have a craft machine is for storage. Secondary is that I can craft a single camo kit with up to 15 uses (my personal best, no artisan either).
High OQ components yeild more kits.
Traps are set in quantity, and it appears quality.
