I loooove lists. They are so very simple, and easy to read through. Here is a list of what I think we should be given, or have implemented into the game, along with our revamp. Additions/suggestions are welcomed.
- Ranger Hat (duh)
- Animal Skin Rugs (of many shapes, sizes, and colors, possibly craftable by architects?)
- Creature-looted items that we can use as weapons, like Rancor teeth
- Animal Calls (better than taunt, because it doesn't aggro them)
- Watercraft
- Binoculars (ones that work)
- Climbing tools (this would be unlikely and require a whole new system for itself, but I though I'd throw it out here.)
- Ranger-craftable foods, using foraged goods and meat/egg/milk that "spoils" quickly (to prevent marketing, since that would call for nerfing)
- NPC-affecting traps (duh, not my idea originally hehe)
- Observable creature habitats (I want to put some chubas into a little pond in my house! What?!)
- Fishing Poles (why can't we craft these now? hehe)
- Pet Rocks (
I just wanted someone to laugh to make me feel better) - Handheld Radar (would keep track, visually, of certain creatures/npcs within the area so you can /examine them from that distance. Ranger only.)
- Weapon powerups for Ranger creation/use

K, I didn't think a few of them for long enough, so here are my revisions/responses hehe.

Ranger Hat (duh) ... ok, not a game breaker, but would be cool
Animal Skin Rugs (of many shapes, sizes, and colors, possibly craftable by architects?) see above
Creature-looted items that we can use as weapons, like Rancor teeth already in the game. many creatures have lootable stuff But we can't use them as they are. Armorsmiths and Weaponsmiths (and BioEngineers very soon) rely upon these items, and only we can loot them (I think)but we cannot use them. If we are familiar with creatures, then couldn't we fashion some sort of weapon to use with these pieces?
Animal Calls (better than taunt, because it doesn't aggro them) sorta cool. I sometimes chase after stuff because it keeps running away. Lantern birds, for example, and it would also be a quick fix for creatures running away while you are milking them.
Watercraft why? there is nothing out there Another point to make is that a few more types of fish would not be so difficult to implement into this system. The new fish would only be obtainable in deep-water areas, and yield a significantly higher amount of fish meat (I don't know if there are professions that require fish meat, but it isn't fast to get right now.)
Ranger-craftable foods, using foraged goods and meat/egg/milk that "spoils" quickly (to prevent marketing, since that would call for nerfing) actually a decent idea I thought that, since the foraged stuff isn't very good by itself, we could make a few things at higher Ranger levels that had very little chance of interfering with the Chef market. Maybe regenerative properties, in stacks of 1 upon creation, like curing disease/poison for one thing.
NPC-affecting traps (duh, not my idea originally hehe) hell no. Creatures are our business. You want to trap NPCs, go be a BH (oops, they lost trapping, so sad, too bad) How about letting traps affect pets for PvP? There have been many arguments about what the role of a Ranger is, also considering the GCW and the tecnological era that we are in. I didn't want to ignore those groups.
Handheld Radar (would keep track, visually, of certain creatures/npcs within the area so you can /examine them from that distance. Ranger only.) Does the word areatrack ring a bell? I understand the ability to areatrack. I use it very often. I have not yet been able to remember every creature's resists, CL, Health, whether or not it deathblows, and the resources it yields. This is why I would need something like this, and it would be an interesting addition, in my opinion, to our class. Just my opinion, but I won't fight for it.
