I'm really starting to feel like the ranger profession has lost purpose in the game. We lost our harvest capabilities andwe lost our "stealth" (I still do better w/o /maskscent and /conceal).

The only real thing we have going for us is /examine (really wish it would tell you if the animal was social), and /areatrack, although the latter is driving me crazy because I really don't want to see a trunicated list of 50 nunas and broken datapads. The ranger traps are working now, so I'm happy about that, but what can we really do that others can't? ACH with a CDEF pistolcan take out an animal faster than I can (pistoleer 1-4-4-3), and 2 scouts can harvest more off of one animal.

I might give it up.

One thing that ranger HAS taught me was tactics and knowledge of animals and their behaviors. I have gained respect from other players, and I am looked up to when the going get tough. Ranger now seems more like a lesson in Squad Leader to me. Training, learning, growing...they need to fix this profession, and fast.
