Thread: An Idea Hunting Trophies

This has probably been thought of before, but Id like to see if any other Hunters out there feel the same way as me. This idea is, effectivly, eye candy, it will not enhance our profession within the mechanics of the game, but I still feel it would help make the Ranger more than a simple "uber-Scout".
I was wandering about looking for a quest to do today, and a bloke told me there was a classy quest on Naboo, where you could work for Borvo the Hutt. I did his missions, went to Corellia and did the missions there, then returned. When he gave me the Tuskan King rifle, I thought "hmm, pretty decent, although I dont see how this is relevant to me being an aspiring Ranger like that bloke said", so I sent him a quick /tell and asked if I had actually finished. Lo and behold, I hadnt, so I proceeded to Tatooine and did the quests for Huff Darklighter, and I got a Krayt Skull! Very nice.
Then a thought occurred to me, why is it Im getting this from a quest? Why cant I take trophies from the creatures I slay to show off in my home(when I can afford one, hehe).
What I propose is this: The devs add a new option to the Harvest section of the Radial Menu, for Master Rangers only, which allows them to claim a trophy of some form from a creature rather than resources. These could take many forms, anything from skulls to stuffed heads to entire skeletons. To make the idea less design intensive, only the biggest, baddest or most well known critters should have unique trophies, Krayts would give a Krayt skull for example(art is already ingame), Kimogilas might give a large tooth, you could loot Bantha tusks or a Squill-skin Rug, anything interesting. Normal creatures would have far more generic trophies, such "a Durni Thighbone" or "a Leviasquall Ribcage", there would be about 5 or 6 different basic trophies which would only change in name, depending on the creature killed.
I didnt become a Ranger to spend all day mega-harvesting smalltime critters for Avian Meat that I can sell for 100cpu, I became a Ranger because it feels like they are the "elite hunters" of SWG, the blokes who gain fame and fortune by hunting down the biggest game in the galaxy, but right now, I could go off and kill a Krayt solo, unbuffed and unarmoured(a personal goal) and I could never prove it to anyone.
Anyone like this idea?

I like the idea! The idea that we can collect trophies from creatures would be something unique. In the same vain of ideas, I believe we should consider taking it one step further.
Consider having a "Master Ranger Harvest" choice on the radial menu. Have it not just allow for various trophies, but also for unique harvesting items that are ONLY harvestable (is that a word?) by Master Rangers. Items that are necessary for making new powerful items (medicines, traps, weapons, etc.). Something that would help make the Master Ranger level desirable to the community.
I can't wait to have aRancor Head hanging from my wall...

GadonThek: You assume correctly it has been thought of before, but that's ok because it's a real good idea which would tie us Rangers in a bit more with the rest of the community. I wouldn't wanttooths, tighbones or ribcages though. I want heads I can hang on the wall of the Hunting Lodge (we also want) on dathomir 
These trophies would be nice fora littleextra income too and would make hunting more interesting. Problem is that at the moment Rangers are slotted for little to none Dev/Art time (as far as I as non-correspondent can see) so it will be a while before this makes this live (if it ever does).

I agree hunting trophies would be great. They must look like trophies though. Some kind of mounted base for stuffed whole animals and a mount for heads only.
