Has anyone suggested that it could be used to suppress a tef? Hmmmm...as I type that idea, I see that it already did that and had the ability removed. I have certainly enlightened myself. I guess whatI am thinking is you could use it to get rid of a tef. I hate thinking...I just decided my own idea wasn't worth it. So, we still a useless conceal....sorry guys.

I mentioned that maybe it would help with faction detection... but I think someone thought this could be exploited in the same thread.

I think this was also one of the things the IDs were talking about with disguise kits.

It's nearly Halloween, so necro-posting here...
IF /conceal could be used to suppress a tef ( an idea I quite like) should it be applicable only if the Ranger themself is tef-free ie to others who are tef'd?? Would it be like the medics curse of curing a tef'd player and result in the good Samaritan themselves being forced overt?
I've got visions of travelling into Mos Espa, getting scanned and tef'd by some plastic clad street beggar (don't Imps get wages? They seem to live out of other folks pockets.
) then trying to burst run out of town fast enough to avoid getting gunned down by any itinerant BH, getting out in the dunes, "you are tired and slow down", finally breaking combat long enough to use /conceal to both throw off any following ST's and wipe that dang tef off.
I'm trying to figure how it could be used to exploit (as Fred's reply suggests this was a worry) as you have to be out of combat to apply cammo, so, other than being able to sneak past enemy defences, no 'sploit. Of course, once the blasters start firing everyone in the group is in combat.

I dont think it would be much of an exploit either and it seems like a good idea. It would be a good thing to give it at wayfaring IV to make the tree a little more worth it and help distinguish it.
